@sask

Should probably hold on to Stone. We’ll need the depth once playoffs come and injuries start stacking up.

Also his Brother might be easier to sign once we acquire him at the deadline.

Smith's played two preseason games. Some of you are already in the "sky is falling" mindset and we haven't even played a game that matters yet. He looked pretty bad last pre-season too and then was great in the regular season until he got injured.

I certainly have concerns with our goaltending but Smith is not among those concerns. There's no reason to panic yet.

Yeah Craig Anderson looked (frank)ing great in his 58 games last year.
- BINGO!

The Vezina winner last year was the same age as Smith, and he was just fine playing 60 games and a bunch of playoff games the last two years. Anderson was a goal away from carrying the Senators to the Finals two years ago. Lunqvist was very good in the playoffs last year and regularly gets to 60 games. Smith has less wear and tear than all of them.

36 isn't a magic number where all of a sudden you can't play anymore.

I just want stability. One of Gillies or Rittich should step up. If not my hope in Parsons has been restored. Think the kid is going to do well in the A.

Tree made so many changes this off season but for some reason left the goalies alone. I don't understand it. Smith at 36 needs a proven back up.

The only available goalies who were better than Rittich wouldn't want to come to Calgary to be a backup.

Why is everyone so down on Rittich? He was great as a backup last year. Yeah, he struggled when he was thrust into being a starting goalie in his first season, in the middle of a playoff race, playing in a system that regularly leaves the goalie out to dry. Most goalies would struggle in that situation.

Proven goalies aren't proven until they are. Grubauer didn't enter the league proven. Saros didn't enter the league proven, Talbot didn't enter the league proven.

Pickard is rumoured to be available. He'd be a good option if Rittich or Gillies don't work out.

I am seriously impressed with Prout.

Dude has been a part of almost all the other teams goals in the last couple games.

The goal would be to find someone better than Rittich.
