Why is it one of Sanheim or Myers that have to sit? Mac and Gudas should not be these stone cold locks.
- flyer_nutter

Maybe they will.

But just don't see them doing that with such a young defense already. That be 5 defenders 25 and younger.

This is clearly all AMac's fault for healing too quickly

I think Gudas could be moved. You have a direct replacement in Hagg who kind of brings that type of game.
- J35Bacher

I think Gudas gets moved as soon as another team loses a Dman or 2 to injury. Of course this assumes that our Dmen all stay healthy. I vaguely recall a lot of panties being in a bunch around here over having one too many goalies a week or so ago.

They never had to waive Hagg. If you truly think he deserves to play, which is where I partly disagree then you can look at not having Mac or Gudas up here, but they are vets and will play no matter how many mistakes are made.

You can bet your ass that the first couple of rough games Sanheim has its going to be Folin inserted in there.

Myers will be up soon enough....like ghost a few years ago. He’ll play 10-15 games and get his confidence up....when he arrives he’s here to stay.

Morin wasn’t ready, isn’t ready, and won’t be ready for the NHL.
- Djapana

You don't think Morin can even be a bottom of the league possession dman like certified NHL-ready Hagg was as a rookie?

I was hoping he’d be the guy to be traded ...after last years playoff debacle, I had seen enough.

Without the suspensions

I mean, I think we all know that Hagg needs to play better, show improvement. I saw three preseason games, and he was average in one, not great in another.

But at some point, he needs games so they know exactly what he is. He has physical tools. I can see a solid No. 4/5 in there. But he needs to play and get the job done. He has a chance, and he needs to do something more with it, but he has the tools

Hagg doesn't play anything like Gudas. Hagg plays like MacDonald.

You guys have spent the past year predicting that a Gudas trade was imminent.

In all honesty did he blow you away? Myers played really well. He did also make some rookie mistakes that happen. But did he blow you away that made you think he needed to be here?

For me this move doesn't seem to be a big deal.

Now if Weise and Lehtara are in the starting lineup then i might be a little mad.

Yes, but I could write the same thing about NAK, someone we were all hoping would unseat one of the 2 unmentionables.

I think they'll both be in the starting lineup unless they get hurt.

Yeah, but he'd likely get claimed if we sent him down.

Just saying, Gritty has already shot one person in the back with a gun. Maybe he's secretly an assassin.

I agree, but that's also a very short-minded approach.

Myers playing won't likely transform us into a contender, and I'd rather not have the Flyers lose Hagg for nothing.

Hart and Myers will be playing soon enough, patience Philly Phaithful. I predict sooner then later.
