There's worse guys out there to round out a teams bottom 6.

His contract is ugly, but it's not like Ottawa is tight against the cap. Maybe they're really going for a younger team, and Melnyk really wants his 10 guys up here.

perhaps cheapo Melnyk is hoping he gets pickup on waivers... saving himself that 3.25M salary...

best way to do that is not sign player to more than they are worth

I remember strolling into the Sens thread to talk about his new contract.

he shot 20% one season...after being around 10% his career.
Melnyk just needs to hire a guy that tells him and Dorion no when these things come up. its a great investment if they listen

So Sparks: Twitter is talking like we have to give him a chance as the backup, but I'm thinking, is that really what this guy needs? He needs some NHL games and he's not getting that here.

People may project you to be a career backup, but the trajectory usually goes something like, AHL tweener, 1a/b, then backup.

Sparks needs some starts somewhere, at least 20-25, and ideally a string of starts in a row to build momentum/confidence.

People talk about M. Subban, but he didn't start playing well until he got a few games in a row in Vegas, followed by a string of consecutive games Nov-Jan.

Since you've got PPP and PIMs. I'd choose between E Kane and Radulov.

I know this is totally unrelated. But i need fantasy draft help.

Keep 5 league. I have 2nd overall pick.

My options are:

Hedman
Radulov
Trocheck
Ehlers
E.Kane

I trust my leaf faithful will guide me in some direction of hope because its driving me nuts on who to take.

Cats are:
G, A, PTS, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG.

PLEASE HELP

- Burkefection

Being from Halifax area, I would take Ehlers.

I thought he played really well when Matthews was hurt...
- mgriffen

Did you watch any games? I remember him going pointless a lot of games, and not driving play at all.

If those are your choices, then Hedman is best bet. Depending on how your defense looks.

Do you need to draft defensemen in your pool or position doesn't matter?

Because if you need defensemen.... Hedman sounds like a no brainer to me?

I know Hall/McKinnon had great years last year, but I think they are both way too high.

you can often find bums with high PIM on the FA list to round out your roster. imo you can pretty much ignore PIM 100% when drafting and only use it as a tie breaker when picking between similar players. same goes with leagues that have hits as a category.

Draft guys like Kadri or Simmonds (though a bit iffy this year). Big special teams and PIM

This list is retarded. I think ESPN or even SI's list was better than this. McKinnon #3? And Tavares and OV out of the top 10?
