As I wrote at the time, McQuiad provides New York with some toughness, allowing McLeod and/or Beleskey to sit for a more skilled fourth line forward. In addition, his leadership - on and off the ice - played a major role in his acquisition and why I think he will be one of the top six defensemen.

Vesey looks to me like he's trying too hard to develop chemistry with his linemates. He looked pretty good out there with Chytil on a shift or two against the Devils. No mention of him in tonight's lineup. Guess we'll see
