Ref's haven't been too good but the younger players are forcing the opposition into taking lots of penalty. See if that number stays that high throughout the rest of the preseason

Everyone is agreeing Motte so far has earned a spot. Let's hope waivers really don't matter?

I think Benning and Green slip the refs some cash at the beginning of every game so they can test Pettersson on the PP

Ottawa put a whole lot of players on waivers this morning. Including the D they got for Hoffman.

Dorion is horrible.

I seen that last year in Utica. He is better than Neilsson but he is not ready

1) it's gonna be a long season, predicting 69 points now...

2) Pettersson is a fantastic player, a man amongst boys...

3) once Boeser is reunited with Horvat & Baertschi he'll shake off the rust...

4) what the (frank) is Sam Gagner still doing in the NHL, he's terrible...

5) trade Sutter while he has value, keep Gaudette up...

His save percentage before last night was something like .927%....he's been decent. A call-up at the TDL.

I tried to tell you guys and was mocked and laughed at by some people

I joined your Motte fan club early on...he's playing his way onto the team and judging by Green's post game interview he can't say enough about him.

Do I hear a third for the Motte fan club?

Going once?

Going twice??

Demko will get there. Playing behind our lineups and defensive structures right now aren't doing him any favours. Gotta roll with Marky and hopefully Demko is ready to make the jump when Nilsson is gone at TDL.

That play showed where his confidence and decision level is at

As an organization they've gotta accept mistakes from kids, Sautner, who's played well, had a bad gaffe last night. He held the puck too long and two Flame players were on him, bad decision but that shouldn't mean he goes down.

If it wasn't for Nilsson being signed this year I'd have no issues keeping Demko up, he's young though and they can further develop him in the AHL for much of this season.

If they want Pettersson and Boeser shooting, somebody is going to need to screen. He's probably the best at that on the team right now. No, Horvat is not better at screening then Sutter

How many goals does he have? How many would he score this season if he played regularly? Is that enough to play in the top 6?

Gaudette didn't really impress last night, but he didn't disappoint either, if you can find a good trade for Sutter I'd move him, otherwise, I'd hang onto him and send Gaudette down.
- LeftCoaster

I don't know about Gaudette. If we want to mold him into a top six player, which I believe he has the skill-set to do so, playing top minutes in Utica would be far better for his development than the 10mins he'd get with the Nucks.
