That's probably the only thing keeping him from playing with the big club right now

Even then, I'm giving him his 9 games at this point. He's earned it. Armia hasn't done enough to stick up there either. First 9 games:

Tatar-Danault-Gallagher
Drouin-Kotka-Domi
Byron-Peca-Lehkonen
Hudon-Plekanec-Armia

Alzner-Petry
Mete-Juulsen
Reilly-Schlemko

lots to like but...oh its going to be a long season

Agreed ... there are some promising signs from the kids but make no mistake, it will be a loooong season indeed.

The real test will be when these kids face the full lineups of the best teams.

This rebuild (reset or whatever) phase was long overdue ... we have to pay our dues before we can get among the elite. I don't mind losing but not like they did last year without any apparent effort or hope for the future.

EDIT: I hope Bouchard will do a better job with our rookies in Laval than Lefebvre did ... he can't do worse in any case.

Who are we playing against on Monday?

In other news, I can't see how McCarrron can stay with the team much longer.
He's just not NHL material and probably will never be.

This won't end up well.

Also, who will shoot that puck on the Drouin line? All playmakers.

From NHL.com Titled "Improved Play Needed From Price"...lol

5 Keys to make the Habs better, the title being #1...kind of a no poop? statement

This was a dandy too

"The Canadiens were 30th in the NHL on the penalty kill last season (74.1 percent), ranking ahead of only the New York Islanders (73.2 percent).

Assistant coach Luke Richardson, who was hired July 9 after spending last season with the Islanders, will help coach Claude Julien oversee the penalty kill this season."

Lets hire the only guy to run a worse PK than us...WTF?

I also find it hard to believe that Scherbak won't crack the lineup... And if Kotkaniemi stays, why not keep Suzuki up as well? I hope they send both back personally, too many F already

They should do what best for them and that most likely mean not keeping them this season. But I understand that people want to see them play.

I like him a lot, but he could have been a good trade candidate for the rebuild. Oh well, I guess he is not that old either...

Gallagher and Byron have good deals.

Weber is interesting because if he retires before the end of his deal, Nashville is in trouble.

Yes, good for them. I think Weber lives out his contract, though I do see him going back to Nashville for the last year or 2
