this was kind of how I felt about the Domi/Ekblad incident:

I wouldn’t say “sucker punch”.... he was engaging for a while, and jabbed Ekblad 2 or 3 times already. At some point, you have to think something may happen here, and not look away. - jimbro83
i remember avery doing something similar. engaging and finally dropping them and one punched someone.
still though, ekblad has had a concussion history, why should he be required to fight domi in a preseason game just bc domi wants to? garbage imo

tall and soft
I can't say Gettinger doesn't have talent though
very much a project - jimbro83
Yeah I was just joking. I think they both obviously have talent to be where they are, I just don't know if its enough for the NHL. If your tall not very physical and not all that fast you better have a crap load of talent.

day is graves 2.0
he'll never play a game up here - NYRangers1124
I know people love crapping on DeAngelo, but I would have no issue with him in the lineup. Yeah he makes an occasional mistake, but the tools are their to be a good offensive defenseman

I think he'd be good trade bait, like Edmonton with McDavid on that ice surface

I don't necessarily think so. Day has the tools and his offensive ceiling is way higher. He's also only 20 years old. I'd give him a season with the Pack before I write him off
I could still see you guys possibly slipping into the last playoff spot. Gonna be interesting to see what happens outside your 1st line. - mdw7413
This team could barely slip into the last playoff spot with pajama boy, I'm not at all confident that they'll do it without him unless Jan Kovar turns out to be Artemi Panarin

No problem trading him either. It seems there is a huge bias against him for whatever reason, hell he made the best defensive play last night and didn't even have a stick.

I think Pionk is better, Shattenkirk is going nowhere
I just think there are too many guys back there and DeAangelo can't be sent down without going through waivers

Its a weird situation.
Ekblad should have have tied him up and just waited for the refs if he didn't want to fight. I mean Domi punched him in the face 3 times with the gloves on and Ekblad stood there like a moron with his hands at his side.
Domi shouldn't have thrown the punch when he took his glove off, pretty gutless.

he may very well be dealt - jimbro83
Pionk is better. That is a fact. Pionk my not be as flashy on offense comapred to DeAngel, but Pionk is twice the player in his own zone. He uses his skating so well closing gaps and can skate the puck out of troubel. Where DeAngelo handles the puck in the defensive zone sorta like Marc Staal does.
