It’s always tough to come back from a ACL. Big guys don’t fly back into action either. With that said I think they gave him a generous time line and with some time down in the AHL to get some games under his belt it isn’t out of the picture.
Not saying it’s going to happen but he could come in sometime second half of the season and make an impact. He was pretty good last year and I thought was about as close to having a starting spot out of camp last year. He gets a lot of beef around the fans because he was a 1st round draft pick that will most likely never put up a lot of points but he is a rare creature and can help a playoff team with his freak traits for sure. - peesinwind
They can send him to the AHL on a conditioning stint only to the AHL without putting him through waivers.
Weise will play ahead of Weal, Laughton and Raffl? - Feanor
No, I think they start with:
G-Coots-TK
JVR-Patrick-Jake
Lindblom-Vorobyev-Simmonds
Raffl-Laughton-Weise or Weal
Lehtera
Leier and NAK start in LHV. However, I don’t think it’s long before NAK comes up and takes the 4RW spot. At that point either Weal is dealt or Weise is waived.
I wouldn’t say I’ve paid close attention this pre season. Maybe one or two periods per game but I haven’t noticed Hägg. That’s normally a good thing for a defenseman. - SuperSchennBros
Last night Hägg played poor over all imo. In his own end he struggled. But that was just one pre-season game.

I’m hoping Weal gets waived. I don’t care what Hakstol says, Lehtera offers nothing. I’m not a Weise guy but I like your fourth line more than the alternatives I’ve seen offered all summer.
It's only going to get better with Allison, Frost, Ratcliffe (maybe JOB and Farabee) and Rubstov, maybe Kase, Bunamman and Lycksell next year.
The following year you've got the remainder of the guys from above plus Cates who might be ready to go by the following season. - VladDrag
Yeah, the riches of depth prospects is nice.

If they think Myers is ready (which, so far, seems like the case), they need to make a trade on D for when AMac comes back. I'd think they could get some return (3rd) for one of Gudas or Hagg if any team is down a D, but I'm not interested enough to look at possibilities. - jmatchett383
I think oilers would be a player. Maybe Hägg for a conditional 3rd, with enough games played he turns into a second
Definitely a giant female dog move on Domi's part, but at what point does Ekblad say "alright dude get the (frank) out of my face" and separate himself from him or defend himself? It was obvious the guy was trying to fight him, you still have to be aware of what's going on in front of you and not just allow someone to punch you.

So the guy with a significant past concussion issue who keep trying to pull away and disengage somehow didn't do it demonstratively enough? Sorry, what I see is Domi seeing the refs coming in to say enough and he slips in the cheap shot to make sure he got it in before they pulled them apart.

From about the 0:44 to 0:54 mark, including several times where Domi has to yank on his jersey to keep him close.

I think we might need to pump the breaks, for this season. It is exciting watching the youth work it’s way into the big club but we are probably still a year away.

maybe that's what happened, but he still isn't even looking at the guy trying to engage him. his hands aren't even up to protect his face/head while the guy is giving him shots with his glove on.

But man it’s a great time to be a Flyers fan - wcorvette
