Really liking Liljegrens game. He is quick to pucks and it seems like the puck comes to him in the o zone. Sandin has also looked good beside him too!

Loljegren is looking very solid, almost Hedman-like... Just the way he plays, nowhere near Hedman's level.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

He made a good defensive play a little bit ago where he boxed out a guy in front so he couldn't tip a shot. Good to see.

Pretty invisible tonight b'y

Pretty invisible most nights.

Just don't see where he would fit in.

I'd punish him by never playing him, refusing to trade him and give him 1 year deals for the rest of his career

Possibly the best pairing for us tonight so far. Considering defense is still considered our weakness, I'm pretty pleased with some of the young guys fighting for the bottom spots yesterday and today.
Liljegren and Sandin could both end up pretty good players eventually.
I thought Oziganov, Dermott, Holl, and Borgman all played pretty good yesterday.

His numbers are average. He's an NHL player on any team willing to take him but not great enough to be missed. I'd rather have him than Ennis or Jorris.
The poor kid doesn't deserve to be punished. He's been really patient, honestly. Talent level aside, props to his professionalism.

Good to see he focused 100% on playing defence because a year into being a Leaf he looks like a pro.

Absolutely. Just kidding. I hope he does well wherever he ends up but I don't think he's a top 6 player, a 3rd liner or a 4th liner. Oh well, this'll be his last year either way

It doesn't look like it. There is just way too much talent up front.

Agreed. We knew he had the wheels and the offensive skill, he needed to get better on the defensive side, and it looks like he's made some great strides. I'm pretty hopeful about him.

And now he just took a penalty. He must have been channeling his inner Polak.

Pretty much. It's pretty funny how we handled him though. He's been managements favourite spare tire for years Blocked from Vegas, refuse to waive him but also haven't traded him.

Have they announced attendance yet? Are people actually not going to go to LOLTTAWA games this year or what.

I honestly think the Goat would have been a fine placeholder 4C this year. That said, I've been impressed with Lindholm tonight and would take him based on the 4 minutes I've seen him play.

So far given how the four guys last night played, and how the guys have looked tonight, if I was Carrick I wouldn't get comfy on being with the big club.

Still really curious on what happens with the 3 backups given McBackup was good and Sparks looked good too the other night.

Leivo I think is gonna wind up trade bait at this point, he has done nothing to push himself into a spot even on the fourth line!

Sparks has the higher upside.

If he proves himself to be a starter during the season you can get a lot for him in trade. McBackup will pass waivers.

I really don't expect Carrick to have a roster spot. There are a lot of other good options and I've never really been a Carrick fan. I expect Dermott to make the team, but wouldn't be surprised to see Oziganov take the other spot.
