Only watched the first period and a half. People should remember for Vans prospects Lind, Gadjovich, Gaudette it was there first taste action not vs junior players. They arent on the same level as Pettersson. There will be a learning curve.

I thought Gaudette played NCAA, which, according to some, is supposedly , a better development option, than CHL, because you are playing against men.
Also, Gaudette and Lind did get a little taste of the nhl or ahl late last season. |

Possibly the softest line to play against in the entire league. Goldie and ep isn't going to happen when the season starts. No way Travis is going to let arguably the two least defensively aware forwards he has play together on a line. Powerplay only I'd guess. Still see pettersson being shielded by guys like loui or gagne. Going to have vets for linemates |

That's a fair point, if he can get more into being a wienerly little douchebag it would help his case tremendously.
But a lot of guys are like that in junior and don't do it as a pro when 80% of the league is bigger than you and willing to knock your teeth out. You don't come across that in junior much. - Lindenis#1
He’s 5’10” not exactly small. Crosby’s 5’10”. |

Couldn't understand why people were upset with that Elias pick.... Seems like this guy will be the successor to hank... |

It’s hard to get a good guage when the play is so choppy and players that can’t make good passes or receive the ones that are good. Individual skills were about it for this group. Gudbransen and Juolevi were both making smart plays. That’s about it for me. |

Most people didn’t know enough about him. Unless your seeing him play overseas you only got snippets. |

I didn't like the teams compete level last night.
You can see the players that will be given a second look and the players that will be sent down right away. I was not even that impressed with Leipsic so far , I think Motte has outplayed him.
The Canucks will be better off once they cut ties with Granlund Gagner Eriksson Gaunce and a few D .
Goaltending is an issue.
I expect better things tonight |

You’re right on Motte. Granlund and Guance have been non existent in there games.
Goaltending imo will be the main reason why we end up bottom 5 in the league. |

Granlund and Gaunce have basically been invisible. Leipsic, Boucher and Gaudette had moments but outside of that watching Edler play was painful. No real standouts last night at all and even Demko looked shaky on a few of those. I still want Demko up by TDL...but it's clear we can't rush him and he needs to be in Utica for 2/3rds of the season. Palmu has speed and some vision but will need time as well. |

Only thing that will make the D better is they all go. Start fresh with free agents and prospects next year. |

Just looking at last nights lineup, that's as much of a lunch bucket group they can throw out there, not really surprised by the score.
Hopefully Horvat, Boeser and Pettersson are in tonight! |

not going to dispute that. We have one of, if not the, worst D's in the league. I was merely just wondering if he actually thought Granlund was a more important player to our team than Tanev. |
