Exactly. Throwing any young goalie behind this defense is trial by fire. I do think Demko is ready for some games this year though, but having him play the first half or two-thirds of the season in the AHL isn't the end fo the world. - Nucker101
I'd fully expect him to get some spot starts through the year and then I'd really hope the team finds any kind of garbage in-garbage out trade for Nilsson at the deadline and then some kind of a 11-7 split Markstrom/Demko to close the year. |

Lind, Gaj, the AHL guys. I hope Palmsey gets to play a pre season game with actual NHL talent, just to see. - 1970vintage
What was Gadjovich's injury last year? Was it by chance some kind of lower body thing he might still be recovering from? |

I don't know about that. I don't think his game would mesh well with EP as Leipsic has negative structure when he's not dialed in 100% and EP, like a lot of play makers, would seem to blend better with guys that are more predictable and favour their spots. - Lindenis#1
Its hard to think he wouldnt have more chances playing with EP.

i dont completely agree. goldy and ep think the game very similarly. not sure leipsic would get the same results, though his game would surely benefit. - BobBot
?
All I said is it would have benefited his game. I didnt say anything about same results or better. I think Goldy and EP have pretty good chemistry so far. Im also thinking that the list of players who will do better beside EP will be pretty long naturally. Goes without saying.

Cheap thrills.
Better than huffing the gas out of the reddi-whip aerosol cans. |

All good man. i probably worded that a little bit wrong.
But my point still stands that i think Goldobin is a better fit with EP than Leipsic is/could be.
Not that I really have any evidence yet, but just the difference in the way Goldy played last night shows that the see the offensive zone very similarly to EP and I'm not sure other guys on our team have that. |

Anyone who can play an East West game is better than most of our players. |

Lol. Could be.
TBH I’ve had enough of hot potato hockey. I want to see a bit more of the west coast express type of hockey. Fast breakouts, speed through the neutral zone, and drive to the net with numbers.
I don’t think our players are mature enough yet to handle the rigours of sustained offensive zone presence. |

3 years of left wing lock and then we're 3 years away. |

Lol.
This team finally has some speed throughout the lineup. Just hope they utilize it and not try to emulate the twins style of play. |
