Forget Risto on trade rumors...he's staying a Sabre...like other fans are saying..he will only be traded if the return is too good to be true - pwasil7
That's a good bridge deal for the sabres. Good value for a guy who seems get more flack then he deserves in my opinion. |

Wait, is Germany an island..? Change the name to the Deutchlanders and this could work. Of course, Scotland IS an island, and moving them there might return your sanity, but then they'd be named the Highlanders.
Ek great job baiting everyone in preseason with legitimate nonsense trades. Would be great to someday learn how these ideas come to fruition...dream state hallucinations? Disembodied voice of Mike Milbury? Park squirrel...? Illuminati mistress?

Clearly Draisaitl will be an Islander. We have locked up 3 of the 6 German NHL players in Kuhnhackl, Greiss, and Seidenberg. We somehow let Grubauer get away, but I am sure they will trade for Draisaitl and then for the sake of my sanity move the team to Germany. - niteislander

Hypothetical from a Jets fan - would Trouba for RNH straight up 1 for 1 be a fair trade? I personally would love to see him between Ehlers and Laine and it would open up a spot on the back end for Niku or Poolman |

We aren't trading Risto. 0% chance, update the board. - RhinoFan
Ya. Ridiculous. Ditto Ekman Larsson.
Take them off.
Looking forward to watching Ristos play with so much burden being relieved by addition of Dahlin and subtraction of Lehner

I feel like Trouba is super over rated and RNH a bit under rated...actually think Jets win that trade if RNH would re-sign |

The Jets have a glut of d-men. Kulikov, Morrow, Chiaroit Poolman, Niku, Stanley and Nogier all battling for 2 spots. I can't see the Jets trading Poolman, Niku and Stanley but they will have to decide what to do with some of the others. I'm sure 2 or 3 could be traded by the start of the season. |

Ek's fantasy league trade proposals are the greatest. That he then calls them "sources" makes it even more wonderful. |

Who in the Faulk could the Oilers be targeting? Sekera's injury will free up salary...
Possibilities:
Krug;
Stralman;
Ekholm;
Vlasic;
Shattenkirk;
Boychuk;
Bouwmeester; - EdmontonLawyer
Bouwmeester for Benson.

I really don't see the sharks trading Vlasic with the state of the current D corps... that would make Braun/Dillon their only defensive defensemen, which in comparison to 44 doesnt strike fear into many. |

Tavares will only be captain for what... a partial season after they give him the C a few months into the season?
Seriously... JT should wear the C. |

You can rule out the bold, I think. Ek's proposals are still better than any idea Milbury has ever had. |

Montreal has 9 Defensemen on contracts that can play in the NHL this year, and have Despres on a PTO, and the way he played the other night makes me think he's making this team. So no, Montreal is not looking for defensemen, Bergevin will either trade some or lose some via waivers. |
