Nice signing by botts. With the way our “insiders” were talking about the money he was gonna get this is a big surprise.

Or maybe they aren’t “insiders”???

Would you trade for him? ...that's why I think it's not so simple.
- Lunaion

If I was a rebuilding team, and I was getting a semi-decent prospect, yeah I would entertain it.

I wouldn't have traded for Clarkson, Horton, Datysuk or Pronger...they were moved. I guess I just see it as a possibility, I understand it wouldn't be super easy. That's more faith in Botts than anything else.

It’s ok. I would play ivy ridge any day over harvest hill. The greens are different from one hole to the next. You can flight a wedge, have it check and stop on one hole, play the same shot on the next and have it bound through the green. I don’t care for that. Any front pin is tough to make putts on as there are so many unfixed punch marks. Good shots don’t get rewarded there imo.

I'm not one, so can objectively say:

They were talking about long term deals. 5-6 was the range. 3.65 is a bridge. Don't mistake a long term contract as being the same expense as a bridge. Sam bet on himself to try to attain that 6+M/year deal.

I don't think anyone was saying a bridge deal would be sub-4.

Most were saying 4-5+ for a bridge, and 6-7 long term.

The only one saying sub-4 was Boss

I am a fan of Deerwood we golf there often. Hickory Stick is nice. Harvest Hill is one of my favorites, ever played it?

I always had a hard time scoring at Tan Tara in NT. Those domed greens can be a female dog. Tough to get it close when the wind blows out there.
- TheHank

always hated that course

every par 3 is the same

greens never hold, need to bounce it up from 180 out and hope

only course I hated worse is oak run, and at least thankfully now that is closed

I swear I feared for my life every time I played that course

Outside of the poopty par three layout it always tested my game, I like a challenge.

he likes that course but has no guys that can hang with that course, other then his ringers who have day jobs

freakin Dad is 67 years old and still whacks it over 300 yards and has a 2 handicap

I like Trent Jones courses in general. Those greens are horribly inconsistent like harvest hill for me. I can leave the driver at home and still have a hard time not breaking par there. Meh.

The difference is that you have to pay Okposo and actually play him for 4 more years. That's much tougher to pull off.

I shot 69 there one day in the spring when it was dead calm. I’ve played it twenty times maybe and I don’t think I ever broke par besides that day. It requires a precise mid iron game that’s for sure.

Glen oaks is like arrowhead for me. They both need about 500 more yards.

My in-laws live right near glen oaks so i play that one quiet often. I am a big fan.

But i am a mid 80s-low 90s golfer. Played the first time after the Army about 7 years ago and only a regular golfer the last 2-3 years. My irons are spot on, my drive..... woof.

I believe that the scores given a lot were 4-5 for a bridge, 3.65 is in that neck of the woods with a slight discount.

Boss wanted a 2M/8yr deal I think, have to check the tape. I can tell you he hates Reinhart though lol.
