I think I read an article last year that actually showed that the Canucks had better zone entry success on the PP with the drop pass versus not. I guess it's just that we notice more when it fails versus when a guy tries to stick handle his way in on his own.

Most teams use the drop pass – it's just that Edler and the Sedins were so slow with it it was easy to defend.

For now, sure. But there's always a group who gets sucked in by a decent start to the season.
