From the official press release:
Sean Day, Brandon Halverson, Dawson Leedahl, Chris Nell, Vince Pedrie, and Ty Ronning have been assigned to Training Camp with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Nico Gross was assigned to his junior team, the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). In addition, Jeremy Brodeur was released from his NHL Professional Tryout (PTO).
The Rangers have 45 players remaining in Training Camp. |

I have no problemo with sending guys down, i just wish we could get a look at a couple of them in a preseason game before they do it. Especially guys like Ronning and Day

I am actually fine with it. With brand new coaches and system I would rather some of the vets and players who will make the team get more preseason games. They need more time to learn the system and feel comfortable in it. Let the prospects develop more in the minors, especially the ones that have no chance at making this team. |

I am actually fine with it. With brand new coaches and system I would rather some of the vets and players who will make the team get more preseason games. They need more time to learn the system and feel comfortable in it. Let the prospects develop more in the minors, especially the ones that have no chance at making this team.

it was always 100% certain that Day and Ronning were playing in Hartford this year, there are a lot of guys actually competing for spots here.

I thought it was pretty clear that he said something about it when he said "we spoke as a group." It seemed to me like he was not pleased by the lack of response, but didn't want to discuss how he told his players to break the rules into a microphone. |
