Jesperi Kotkaniemi, what should the habs do with him this year? Keep him with the big club, send him down to Laval, or send him back to Finland?

Dis-cuss.

Now that Kotkaniemi scored a preseason goal can we anticipate a Smillie blog stating that he's "a steal" at #3 and the top centre prospect outside of the NHL?

Fractured face for Nick Deslauriers.

Probably could be back soon, with a helmet cage.

I'd say Finland to get him away from the pressure of the Montreal Canadiens environment. Also, there's already way too much players signed to play in Laval. He got a glimpse of North American hockey, he knows that to improve. Send him back home for this season.

I wouldn't mind having him in Laval. It would help the transition to north american hockey.

But Finland is fine too.

Yeah supposedly Finland has a decent development program, and he would still be playing against "men", so I don't entirely disagree with this.

However, a "glimpse of North American hockey" may not be enough, so maybe he should be completely immersed right away, and get used to the different style of play/language/culture from the get-go.

He needs more time on smaller ice, keep him in Laval IMO
