Jake went face first into a pile of vomit. When asked at the scrum what he thought? He replied " Just another Friday Night in the life of JV".

Thought he said he slipped in it. If Stecher is the only one who puked the rest of them weren't skating hard enough

Club options for LE in 2020...

He has a 15 team NTC for trading
Exposed to Seattle for the e-draft
Sent to Utica & maybe claimed
Buyout spread over 4yrs
-2020 is $5.67m
-2021 is $3.67m
-2022 is $.67m
-2023 is $.67m

2020 i don’t foresee the cap space is a worry
2021 the down grading i see as the same
2022 & 2023 are miniscule amounts.

If he retires even better yet.

No one will trade for him

Seattle won't draft him unless we play them to.

Nobody will claim him and we won't get cap relief

Buy out isn't a good option due to the bonus structure in his contract.

Good work though, laying it out.

Wings have to eat 3yrs of $6.1m for Zetterburgs retirement. Now that is a severe hit & we worry about our speculations.

You can figure out if anyone wants a 36yr old Beagle into the future. I’m not concerned at the slightest now. That far down the road I’ll worry on it then. πŸ‘

literally what it means to be shortsighted. well aware of an impending issue but sticking your head in the sand until it becomes a problem.

fyi no one will want a 36 year old 4th liner

but he goes onto ltir, so it only effects them in the summer where they can go 10% over the cap

He didn't say he was retiring, he said he can't play anymore due to a degenerative back issue. You should stop speculating so much.

No they don’t, he goes on LTIR at the beginning of the season for the next three years and insurance pays his salary.

Sucks that he counts against the cap for the off season though.

I guess it all depends who Luongo feels more loyal too, the Panthers or Canucks. If Luongo wants to go on LTIR, the Panthers still hold the cap hit for the duration of contract, if he retires in 2020, the Panthers only pay 73, 000 for the remaining 2 seasons, while the Canucks are accountable for 4.3 million for those 2 seasons.
Luongo's contract pays him peanuts in his final couple seasons and he would be able to recoup much of that on his pension cheque, while also taking a job within the Panthers organization.
