{Fat} Serena
- Aussiepenguin

, she got very well pictured...

Aussie, in Western society with all the leftgreen-brainwashing, women are allowed and actually do whatever they want, they're never guilty but always a victim. Several cases here in Germany where false claims brought men into prison for a long time, but when uncovered with absolutely no consequences for the female accuser. Welcome to 2018, where men don't use the same lift with a woman.

We just can be happy that the chicks attracted by hockey are often...

There's cases like that here as well. 1 recently actually put the female (false) accuser in gaol. Progress!

This cartoon is major headlines here. It's (frank)ing insane! Serena is a solid African American woman that carried on like a pork chop. The biggest thing that's racist in the cartoon Is the umpire being white!

Has anyone seen this cartoon that is making headlines?

Does anyone think it's sexist & racist?

I personally think Williams should apologise to everyone for her deplorable behaviour & especially to Ramos & Osaka! I do hope the umpires refuse to referee Williams games until she apologises.

I’m fine with athletes yelling at refs. People usually just shake their heads, call them unsportsmanlike and move on, cus, you know, it’s normal and everyone does it. Not sure why everyone is so hung up on Serina. Wideman literally crosschecked a ref a couple seasons ago and it didn’t make this big a stink.

This was from the article and I mostly agree:

Reader Stuart Bennett added: “The US public just expects everyone to knows their history and lives by their standards...ignore them they will be outraged by something else before lunch.”

Well I suppose they're not going to say they hated the move.

But yes, I'd listen to the players that have played against him rather than some Nevilles on the Internet that think they know!

- Aussiepenguin

I'd probably agree if the words used were not "HUGE addition" and "GREAT player" lol. #73 will find a favourable room anyway.

We're two. (but i also understand those being sceptical - 12 years are 12 years...)

The sad truth... just show me one interview stating a player who didn't praise a recent acquisition... , especially in US when something is not "great and fantastic and exciting" it must be really... yeah.

I hope we are getting the USA Team Jack Johnson, a staple on the national team for a few years.
I choose to think he'll be a good 4-6th d-man.

It's not totally far fetched that he ends up gelling well with one of his possible partners and thrives in Pens system with Sully, Martin and Gonch guiding him...ya never know...

I'm glad he didn't. Personally really like what Botts has done here in Buffalo. He had a lot to clean up after Murray, and I think he did a pretty damn good job.

I am hoping the next wave of prospects start to make their impact on the Sabres. At the very least, Rochester will be better and the Sabres will improve. A realistic timeline is one more year to be a consistent playoff team, and probably two to three to make some real noise come Conference Championship time. Having three first round picks this year will help huge!

So, yeah, I'm happy we got Botts and not JR.

P.S. No offense, but what is up with your prospect pool. I thought JR did better with his drafts than how they performed at the prospects challenge.

Well considering in this particular Occassion, it has completely taken away any joy & satisfaction from Osaka, I have to disagree with you. The thing with this is she was penalised for her behaviour correctly (her coach admitted cheating), & because she's Serena Williams she couldn't handle it. She did the crime but couldn't handle having to do the time!

Calling an official a thief isn't a good look & is also very high up on things you can't do. I think you'll find there's more penalties handed out now for bad behaviour in both male & female games.

On the cartoon, it's ridiculous the 'scandal' that it's caused - it's a (frank)ing satirical piece of comedy. It's just a lot of Serena defenders don't like it showing what Serena actually came across as - a petulant child! The furore about the African American look is also just taking things way overboard. Serena IS African American, she does have a very solid physic. People saying it is referencing the early racist designs are overreacting in my opinion.

No way my man. Serena broke the rules & was penalised. Theres other occasions men have broken the rules & were penalised. She's just thinks she's above the rules & was getting beaten. The coach admitted he was cheating - umpire was correct. Serena smashed her racquet- umpire was correct. Serena called him a thief - that's outrageous.

This has all been thrown on the back of the shirt gate incident that was completely sexist & has been apologised for by the powers that be. Serena carrying on & being pulled up was not.

That I think this is only a big deal because it’s Sirena Williams. LeBron James pulls this temper tantrum BS on a game to game basis. I’m not saying that she shouldn’t get fined, I’m just saying that in most any other case there would be a fine, people would shake their heads, and move on. There’s a disproportionate amount of people that are dying to make an example out of Williams and I have to think it’s because she’s a successful female athlete. She’s being held to a different standard.

Johnny McEnroe does the same thing and he’s a folk hero. Hell, I love McEnroe for his epic meltdowns. There were plenty of fines there, but the level of outrage was never there. It was just Johnny’s shtick.

From down here, the fact that Serena totally (frank)ed up Osakas first grand slam win, to Serena telling everyone it was sexist & the umpire was wrong is why it's a big deal. Had Serena just copped it sweat & said she was wrong there wouldn't Be all this outrage. Did McEnroe ever come out after a match & start blaming everyone else? He did get treated a lot of times exactly how Serena got treated, but Serena has the issue. It's ALL about Serena. That's why it's a big deal. And yes, there were many sarcastic cartoons of Mac the brat.

Yes, about Hayes you didn't read a lot over the summer, and given that Cullen is set on the 4th line (they didn't bring him in to sit in the press box), his and Derek Grant's ambitions will be interesting to follow, especially as with Sprong and ZAR they have basically 15 forwards fighting for max. 14 forward-spots (capfriendly is most likely pretty spot-on regarding the game1-roster: https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/penguins) ...everyone else, which is also true for our 7 defenders and 2 goalies, will have a very long shot.

My family is evacuating to South Bend for the weekend (they've had tickets for the Notre Dame game since summer). Growing up with hurricanes we're pretty desensitized to them, but this one's supposed to be pretty damn bad.
