Anyone is better then him.... the locals in Tennessee even say he’s a horrible horrible qb, they can’t believe he even got drafted.

I worry that some of our younger, better prospects (Asplund is a good example) will be in the AHL, not because of talent, but because Botts won't want to waive Bailey/Baptiste to get him in the lineup.

why worry?...won't stunt his development

Makes sense. He has a year left on his contract and can stay on as an advisor to help with the transition. Then go to Detroit, where Holland just signed a two year extension, and is expected to go to the new franchise in Seattle when his contract is up.

It wouldn't surprise me if Girgensons and Larsson have good preseasons, they make the team and then disappear again. Last year they had a line of Girgs-ROR-Okposo at a preseason game I went to, and they were dominant.

I just hope Housley doesn't fall for it. Neither of those guys need to be on the team. They probably will be though

Good read on Josh Allen and if he should start or not (also why starting Peterman was the right choice.)

Detroit will be good in 3 seasons. Stevie is a magician, he will end up with a lot of the draft picks that will be moved in Seattle expansion draft.

Holland wont Vegas Seattle, they'll end up with McCabe from the Sabres. I wonder if you'll be able to spark up during the game. The crowds would be so awkward.

I don't want to tank anymore. Ice the best team. Get 7th rounders back if you must but if Johan is 4C and Asplund is in Rochacha...

If you had to, who do you waive:

Larry and Girgs or Bailey/Bapper

am thinking they'll want berglund in that no. 3 center role based upon experience and the ability to take on some second line minutes against tougher competition...in that case, i'd rather have Asplund in Rochester skating big minutes instead of playing on the fourth line

Larry is definitely a waive candidate, but Girgs I feel can be traded. A 4th round pick should be his value.

This is the boring but safe approach that kept Pouliot in the line-up. I don't think Berglund is as bad as BP, but the idea of plugging in a grizzled vet for defensive abilities seems to be a weak argument. If it was up to me, which it should be, they should focus on the players speed and ability to transition. Possession is the best defense.

Easily. Wilson can play center, and so can Erod. I would understand them keeping Girgensons though. There's no reason to keep Larsson imo

Per the dudes on Sirius NHL: Karlsson to be moved before camp opens on Thursday. SJS, DAL, VGK, TBL + VAN all in mix one way or another. Possibility it is a 3-way deal. Bobby Ryan will also be dealt.
