Lind needs at least a year in the AHL. Maybe more.
Sorry to hear about your health issues. Stay positive. I just had a stroke 2 weeks ago and am also posting from a hospital bed. Expect to be in physio rehab for about 2 months.
Check your BP regularly boys - we_are_all_canucks
Best to you. |

I know you are joking but I don't really mind the job the Canucks have done in the last two years.I think all their moves have had a purpose , and when Benning said we are relying on the young kids to score I agree with him.
When Bo Brock Quinn Elias Jonathan and Sven finally get their stride this will be a good team. It looks like they are getting close. - VANTEL
I don't wanna start a poop-storm with you but I'm curious as to what you mean by "the job" the Canucks have done? What job are you referring to?
Every move has a purpose, misguided or otherwise, that doesn't mean it was a good move. A lot of moves Bennings made have been a complete fail, despite them having purpose.
Moreover, finishing at the bottom of the league three of four years like this management group has, and draft really good young prospects, is not something of an accomplishment to hang your hat on when you proclaim you've got a team you like and feel they can push for the playoffs.
Now, all that said, I too am starting to like what I see from a draft and develop perspective! There's some nice potential there. |

I agree, they still need a couple of years imo. - VanHockeyGuy
One more bottom five finish would be great for the franchise, which Benning seems reserved to. |

First of all keep in mind I did say IN THE LAST TWO YEARS.
I like the draft picks.
I like the trades.
I like the development.
I like their farm system.
I like their UFA signings.
I like that the entire group is heading in the same direction.
I like the scouting.
I Like Brackett and Johnson.
I like the mixture of youth protected by the new group of vets. |

I don’t really buy that they believed they were going to be good. We had almost no prospects and all our good players were old. You can’t come out and say “we’re going to suck this year” no matter what you say “we’re going to work hard, compete, and we have a chance”
Or you get a decade of losing.

Drafting is a given, not hard to pick great prospects when you draft 5-5-7. Other than the Dahlen trade most have been pretty blah or bordering on terrible. Development, Boeser, Gaudette and Pettersson chose not to sign and further develop on their own timeline, so who has Benning developed other than Demko? Utica was terrible last year except for Demko. You like Eriksson?
Sorry, just won't ever see what you see, but like I said, things appear to be getting better from these poor finishes and the Dahlen trade appears to be a clear win for Benning. |

If they didn't believe they were going to be competitive they'd have drafted more instead of trying to shortcut every corner, so I completely disagree with you.
They're getting better, seemingly, despite themselves. From poor finishes and good draft positions. |

burrows was a waiverwire caliber player and they actually got something with potential in return, even if dahlen never plays an nhl game that trade was always going to be a clear win |

Maybe, I just think if we didn’t sign some of those guys, and try to fill our age gap, we would have been the worst team by a mile. A few picks left, but never for old players. All mid 20’s. Even though we sucked, we strung a few wins together. I don’t think they wanted to come dead last every year.
They have drafted pretty well though. I still have hope for JV but that set us back a year or two for sure.

Dahlen's papa likes what he sees too!
Ulf Dahlen on chemistry between Jonathan and Elias Pettersson , "They have set plays they make, they understand each other. Good things happen on the ice when they play together." #Canucks |

The Virtanen pick and his poor development are a black eye for Benning/Aquilini, that said, he has shown he can still be an effective third line winger. |

It's funny because I watched a pre-draft video, this year, of JB lecturing his scouting staff about digging deep because he was going to acquire a lot of draft picks. I think he was referring to next years draft because he did not acquire any picks |
