That has worked out so well thus far.

Hey Boucher has been been good for the org, Best player in Utica. You can find value sometimes. Leafs got corrado to stock the teams corporate box with Soda and popcorn for free for a whole season

We should be the ones paying attention to the waiver wire. Could be a cheap way to replace some scraps

Replacing scraps with scraps.

I'm expecting about the same. Better at 5v5 + less injuries, but the PP takes a step back and the division should be more competitive so that evens out for me.

All depends on your definition of a better year, I think the team will finish bottom five but will be establishing a new identity which will be a better year for me. Really looking forward to what the Sedin less transition is going to look like.

I’m expecting some surprises. The add & subtract crowd stuck in neutral. Fence sitting

New identity with Sedins gone. Speed is improved. Points will come we just need to be patient. The more ice time some players are given that they never had with the Sedins in the line up will show right away.

Even if EP breaks out, I'm not sold on various things. Scoring depth. Powerplay playmakers. Barely any offense form the back end at both 5v5 and the PP. Just a weak defensive core overall, even when healthy it's bottom 10 in the league.

Mediocre goaltending.

I can't look at the current projected lineup and seriously say that I'm expecting this team to be much better, 3-5 point swing up or down is what I'd project if I was a neutral fan evaluating this roster.

Everyone should view this roster and pretend like it's the Carolina Hurricanes and then ask yourself what you would think of it.

I'm sure a Devils type of season is possible, but I'm not counting on it.

There will be glimmers of hope. This should be the last season of truly horrible suckage.

I thought the team was playing it's best hockey at the start of last year when the injury bug didn't hit. I think the team will be fine Sans Sedins

I’m not concerned with W’s & L’s.
2 things come to mind most...
2nd line scoring development.
D its make or break for a few.

The PP & PK i put on the coaches

A trade or 2 i put on JB

I get that, but what we're discussing is W & L's, there could be more hope and excitement after this season(I think most of us believe there will be), but that's different from the actual standings.

I get that but i predict an up & down season with surprises good & bad. Kids featured more ice time & TDL moves for the next draft.

We all agree that they should be faster, younger and another top 10 pick will be exciting.

So do you think the team finishes higher in the standings?

Gagner traded before the TDL
Gaudette proves he’s more than ready
EP in the Calder hunt
Brock & Bo show takes a other step
Hutton bounces back then traded
Demko gets in a few games
Granlund traded for a pick say a 3rd

I think the team is going to surprise people . Just a hunch . I like what they did this summer. I think we will be a harder more complete team . If I am wrong oh well bottom five it will be then.

If Gaunce makes the the team this year then the whole “retool” has been a massive failure and no one can argue otherwise
- CanuckDon

Well.... they could, but they'd be an idiot deserving of a latte to the face.

I'm gonna say 6th-last. I believe the team just finished tied for 4th-last so i guess technically I'm in the "we'll be better" group
