No one wants him to suck, but saying he's sucked ass so far here is the truth. He has yet to play any better than Andrew AHLberts.

Can't deny he has been bad. Hopefully a better year

No Boeser, Demko or Gaudette at free skate?

No Schaller, Beagle, Roussel?

- manvanfan

Boeser posted yesterday that he had 6 days left with his dog, so he wont be coming early. None of those guys are attending the Young Stars tournament, so I doubt many arrive more than a couple days out from main camp starting. Get their last sessions in with personal trainers, packing, etc.

Clearly it just means they have roster spots saved for them already.

He needs a dman who’s better than him to play with, he can’t carry a young guy. Played best with Campbell in Florida and Edler here.

Beagle is on the team now. Even my wife is a devoted Canuck fan again.

I saw that post, too, but I assumed he meant six days left in his sick summer house on the lake. I saw something during the summer that said he was bringing the dog with him to Vancouver this year...although maybe he has changed his mind?

some decent info there

what they say is true, point shots rarely go in unless the guy taking them is an elite shooter, or unless they get deflected.

This is why I'm fine with Hughes having an average shot, the guy is going to create more quality shots for his forwards, in better scoring areas. Having a nice clapper is a nice bonus, but not necessary for an elite offensive dman.

- Nucker101

The more East West style we can play the more offence. One timers & snipes are needed as in Brock JV LE Sven etc.

On EG like any pairing its a good chemistry & mesh of skills together. I see maybe OJ being a good fit when he’s ready. A Hughes might also work idk. I like Hughes & Tanev next year.

EG needs a healthier year for starters. Idc how he has played up to date when we were not goung to be good anyways. For once i sound like a tanker lol. Time every vet ups his game this year & beyond when it really counts for the long term.

Hughes Tanev
Edler EK
OJ EG

Weren't Guddy, Edler and Sven all injured at the same time last year? maybe they became closer in the treatment room.

For you Makita. Good read.

I really like this article, makes you think a bit more about what makes someone good at passing/possession valuable even if you don't see it in points. I do think Stecher is a bit better than he gets credit for and much better than Hutton, but realize that opinion is far from the norm.

If OJ blows camp and preseason out of the water he has a chance, it's very slim IMO.

In a way he does because there are a few dmen that can be looked at as expendable. I personally don't see it happening to start the year, maybe at some point though

The amount of injuries this team has keep the depth for a while.
