i think we'll be in the same range. there will be a lot of competition for that part of the ladder so the range could be quite wide with a few points the difference.

i think there will be some definite bright spots (brock, ep) and a lot of intrigue in lieu of the sedins.

what i'm hoping for is more skill, speed and grit from our forwards, more consistent team defense and a hell of a lot of compete but see us not being able to weather the bigger storms throughout the season.

if they try, and show some potential, i'll be happy. improvement vs draft position is a win win and benning just might keep his job too if it doesn't look too grim.

This is exactly what I do not see happening. It will be peaks and valleys I think this year. My hope is the peaks are a bit higher and next year as we add more young talent we can start to really push our way up.

yeah that was in reference to team d only - essentially we keep games tighter overall (but still have some trouble scoring)

my reference to weathering storms essentially implies what you said. we won't be good enough yet to maintain consistency in terms of winning.

hmm i want us to be worse but i think we pick up a couple more wins when all is said and done. although we did finish strong last year which earned us a few bonus points. but maybe that momentum carries through as well...?

I'm gonna say 6th-last. I believe the team just finished tied for 4th-last so i guess technically I'm in the "we'll be better" group

I think with so much competition 2 or 3 players should be playing good and hopefully they will be picked
- VANTEL

I don’t care about “Veteran” presence if you get beat out of a job you should get the job. Leipsic had lots of ice time at the end of last season and I thought he had a ton of energy every shift. He earned his ice time and was ten times the player Eriksson was. I don’t care if you’re payed 6 million a season if you don’t make the cut you should be cut. Guys will always complain and find excuses for the Erikssons to play but if you suck you suck.

The only reason Leipsic got the ice time he did was because Boeser, Granlund, Eriksson & Baertschi were all shut down, not to mention Vanek getting traded.

But 1sts and 2nds are the only picks worth having, Gaunce, Hutton and a 3rd

We will need to give up something of significance (2nd rounder)if we're to expect them to take on beagles contact, although I doubt if he'll waive his no trade for Ottawa.

The asset management crowd could make it interesting in here.

They could, and as it gets closer to waiver time, I’m sure we are going to hear that exact phrase , good thing Whitey is always around

Well the asset management crowd had to become the anti-youth crowd by default this year so I certainly won’t be apart of it

Let's hope they understand that many players will be revolving through this lineup over the next few seasons and not all players are going too get a return of a pick or a b/c prospect.

Everyone who was stocked with signing beagle, rousell and scheifle so that we could waive our and down younger players.

For the record I was down with signing one... not three and wanted gaudette as the number three center not beagle.
Go throat those fracktards
