I think NCAA players could attend, but they are allowed to go to one NHL camp per year (development camp in July counts), and if they want to be at camp in September, they need to provide themselves for travel, lodging, etc. Or else they are considered professional players and lose their NCAA eligibility. Anyway, school is about to begin when NHL camps start.

Yeah, they really are. People are appalled about the QMJHL here, but if they saw in what kind of money Universities in the U.S. are bathing in while exploiting student athletes., they wouldn't believe it. Maybe not in ice hockey, but in football and basketball, it's enormous.

NCAA football plays for so many scholarships it's not even funny. Field hockey scholarships and the like. NCAA sports wouldn't exist nearly the way they do without American football and basketball. It's almost comical
