ESPN's Brady Henderson projects the Seahawks to release Brandon Marshall.

Marshall has actually been drawing strong reviews in practice, but Henderson believes the Seahawks will opt to go younger before possibly re-signing Marshall after Week 1, when his $1.105 million contract would no longer be guaranteed. Marshall is probably most closely battling Amara Darboh.

We have no WR's

No offense meant, but I worked at a goaltending school for a few years...we would have told you that you do that because your legs aren't strong enough.

Sharp skates, for a goalie, are crucial. Every stop and start is dependent upon their sharpness. It's harder, at first, with sharper skates, but with proper leg strength, it would help in the long run. You stop quicker and get better push...what's not to like? We've all slipped out on dull skates and that can be a goal against as an example.

I have heard some goalies like Kevin Weekes and Marty Turco used to do the front sharpen as you did, so can't say it's impossible to be an amazing-dull edged goaltender...but scientifically speaking you are doing yourself a disservice by not acclimating to sharper skates.

As a non-pro, doesn't matter...but Lehner is missing a bet there IMO.

I would agree with this. I started playing goal at 4 years old, I had no leg strength. By the time I was strong enough to shuffle post to post with a sharp skate I had already gotten used to duller ones.
The original post was about him spraining an ankle because of dull skates. I don’t think that’s the culprit. I tried playing on sharper skates maybe when I was ten or eleven, and was catching so many edges I’m surprised I didn’t hurt myself. Sharper blades may be better overall but if you’re used to one way or the other I would think switching would be a greater hazard than just sticking with what you’re comfortable with.

Ryan O'Reilly, who spent the last three seasons in Western New York alongside Eichel before being dealt to the St. Louis Blues this summer, responded emphatically when asked if he thought the Sabres' franchise cornerstone was ready to wear the 'C'.

"Absolutely. Oh, gosh, yeah," he said, according to Sportsnet's Luke Fox.

He could say any number of things. He could say Jack “was a good teammate at the rink.” What reason does he have to butter up Jack?

For his own image. Respect factor around the league. If he bad mouths his former teammate then it’s obvious he was moved for locker room issues and how do new teammates react to that ?
