plus they are super soft. The team is young and has little to no defense or muscle. Great reg season team but will struggle real bad come playoff time. Love JT but he is one of the worst defensive forwards and soft as hell.

Yes, we know. He became lazy, slow, soft, poor defensively and contracted gingivitis right after the Leafs signed him.

Good to know he won’t go to Toronto, Buffalo or Edmonton. Stay tuned for 4 more new teams added by the end of the week to increase chances of being right.

yeah nylander (buf) to carolina seems way more likely to me for faulk than reinhart. unless they really don't like sam, i've got to think after his 2nd half last year that he's a sabre for a while, especially since we got rid of o'reilly.

The whole Carolina thing confuses me. They lost Lindholm and Skinner. Then swapped Hanafin for Hamilton.... now cutting Faulk? Wouldn't you rather Faulk than Hamilton? And even more so, wouldn't you want Hanifin over Hamilton?

I'm very confused. Could some Canes fans please shed some light on this for me? What am I missing?

Hamilton is miles better than either of those two. Justin Faulk has a cannon of a shot but is an absolute train wreck in his own end. Noah Hanifin can still be good, but when you have a chance to add a top 20 NHL defenseman, you do it.

Elias Lindholm scored 2 goals in the last 36 games of the year last year. Has never scored 20. Ferland has.

Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen both had more points last year than Jeff Skinner has ever had in a single season, and Skinner is a pending UFA.

Ek given the Bruins have 8 NHL defensemen on the roster after signing Moore, I doubt they are interested in a 9th. FFS dude.

Seriously with 3 kids in Zboril, Lauzon, and Vaakinainaan looking to make that decision even more difficult in camp. How (frank)ing dumb is this guy?!

Obviously you'll be trading the Hurricanes one of those.

Should fit in with all the other mullets in the south. Enjoy Adam McQuaid

He would take credit if it actually happened, too. What would Shania think?

Faulk for Reinhart makes sense. Would also explain why the Sabres are dragging their heels on a LTC with Samson

In fairness...a lot of the slow and soft stuff has followed him since junior. Anybody calling him lazy is just ignorant. Poor defensively is something people throw out because it's often subjective and frankly more of a team and style based situation (easy to say without backing it up essentially) - and JT on the Iles was on a lot of poor defensive teams with poopty goaltending - hard to blame that on literally the only offensive threat the team had up until last year

JT is so bad defensively, that Bergy only saw him as a winger on the HABS.
