Tanner just can't help himself, ever. He's so special he gets 6, not 5!

You almost have to ignore all statistical evidence to not put him in the top five. Consider that his PP scoring was cut in half, and he still matched his total output from the season before. That's minimum a point per game player, one who is consistently deployed against the best players in the NHL and has success 5v5, has the ability to play centre, and who's defense doesn't really matter since his team always gets more shot attempts, shots, scoring chances and goals while on the ice.

61 points in 82 games.

That's not a point per game player.

But if you fudge a couple numbers, change one and put it in a chart...it is.

Kadri / Marleau / Leo / Marner would say this is wrong, doesn't mean your wrong in saying he's a good player, a tad overrated by some IMO.

Since he almost always plays with Matthews, he's on the ice against the other team's top line for a minimum of 41 games. And when the Leafs are at home, the other coach does his best to get his best D out against that line too.

That's what happens to all the other teams top lines, don't tell anyone. Love the selective criteria to push everything where you want it to go...

Can't wait for this summer to be over, you guys can't stop sucking off the Leafs fans at every opportunity.

Just choose one between Nylander/Marner! It's easy! Personally I'd go with Marner. Can't stand this "they're too good to just choose one so I'm gonna make my top 5 a top 6 because TOR is THAT good!"

You know who else has the same amount of goals as Nylander and more than Marner over the last two seasons? Sam Reinhart and yet he's not on anyone's list even though he's been playing on a poop team. He had 25 goals this year.

I've read all of these lists that you guys have put out this summer and they've all been horrible borderline cringey because of how transparent you are with your pandering lists. The fan rankings are honestly better.

These lists have been horrible all summer but Tanner, this one took the cake.

Rant over.

It's exciting to have good players for a change, but the bias towards these guys has gotten pretty gross. Summer is usually pretty slow here, but at least inject a little effort into these blogs or just don't do them.

Classic Tanner...

2 weeks ago you thought Marner was worthy of being placed among the top five wingers in the entire Eastern Conference, ahead of Nylander and Pastrnak and today he is the 6th best winger aged 22 and under and behind both Nylander and Pastrnak.

Bravo!

If Spatso reads this, he is really going to regret becoming a Sens fan.

For the 2018-19 season, i'd have to go with:

1. Nylander
2. Marner
3. Kapanen
4. Bracco
5. Grundstrom

Honorable mention: Pastrnak

Hold up there chuckles.

You have, on MANY occasions, argued that quality of competition doesn't matter.

Pretty much every other thread on the boards is cringeworthy at this point. This has been one boring-ass summer.
