Does UG not have a job and still live in his moms basement suite? How can you stay up until 2AM every night, talk hockey, and then go to work?

I agree hockey iq isn't something that is coachable, it's a natural talent. I don't think Richie has very high hockey iq and thus have no faith that he'll be able to be changed by coaching.

You can improve ones knowledge of the game and how to better read plays.
It can be taught, but you must have a good foundation

Or maybe the refs can call the games the way they should be called.

It has been the same story since I started watching in the late 80's. When the playoffs hit the whistles go away. This will not change. If all you have is smallish skilled players you will have trouble winning. Also, if your defence can't play defence that won't help either. You don't need a team of goons, but you need a few guys that play on the edge and that can take advantage of that style hockey. Outside of Kadri we have no one like this.

Also, our defence core, which is the one area of concern for our team has remained untouched and unchanged (other then losing Polak). Hurray!!!!!! Another year of watching Gardiner pirouette on ice!

Playoff hockey is playoff hockey. Always has been, probably always will be. Get guys that can play it and enjoy it.
- Unholy_Goalie

Problem is the refs took a few games to let that sink in, and Naz took more games than he would've if it happened in game 6 or 7.

If only the refs had put the whistles away for games 1 and 2 against Boston we could've won that series. We were short handed 15 times or so in those games.

Making a change just for the sake of it would be stupid, I’m sure they looked and not much was there or prices were just outrageous. The D will be better without Polak, hopefully Dermott can take another step.

I didn't, Tumbleweed did. I am showing solidarity with him for not welching on his bet. I couldn't resist making it a Karlsson face and a blue heart and tear.

I am pretty much bored of it now though, so may be time for a change

Our problem was not Polak...

Not changing something and hoping for different results is what????

Just trade Gardiner. That is addition by subtraction, not dumping Polak...

Naz did a stupid thing and got what he deserved.
He needs to be smarter.
Hope he continues his improvement

Future Habs saviour Dzierkals signs with Dinamo Riga.

Does this extend his ELC window with the Leafs?

Yes Gardiner is the problem never said Polak was the problem but I think they’ll be better without him and Dermott taking another step, hopefully Reilly too. Don’t know what people expect, a top pairing right handed to fall from the sky? Everyone wants that player but then would be pissed if it means trading someone who actually has value like Nylander.

Meh. Just wait one more year for Lillybust. He's gonna be cracking.

Nope. Let’s make a bad deal for the sake of making a deal. Hopefully Lilly can turn into a player. Still very young, encouraging year last year.

So anywho, going back to that conversation about 18 year old d-men in the AHL, Liljegren has the most P/PG out of any 18 year old d-men who have played more than 10 games.

Lindholm had 11 in 44, Lillybust had 17 in 44.

Je suis très excité

Sandin was on loan so he can play in the AHL/ECHL like Julius Honka.
