muahahahahahhahah Leafs had no need to get Pyjama boy and now he is going to screw up their core and they still have a porous D and no insurance against a long term Anderson injury.

Karma is a beautiful thing

LOL good God the rest of the nhl s fanbase has no idea whats coming their way. well guys there is a freight train coming your way named the toronto maple leafs!!! and i say this not because of the top six.....its the johnnsons that they have that you dont have any real idea about. yes in 3 years we ll have the problems that the hawks had when they were trying to keep it together but ...... i ll take that.

Is Marner untouchable? If things go sisdeways why is it always Nylander mentioned as being on the move. Point production is very similar, as is their game and yet Marner is always deemed the one who stays. If Nylander accepts a contract in the 6mil range, and Marner demands 7mil plus, I think it's a lot closer than most assume. Tough call

The last time someone thought an offer sheet was likely to a star player, a Leafs fan lost a bet. This is even more unlikely with Marner, for several reasons as already stated.

You know, if I was an Islanders fan I'd be much more upset about the fact that my team couldn't keep Tavares and/or build a team competitive enough to entice him to stay.

I guess to some it's more much reasonable hating on the Leafs for offering J.T. a lower valued contract than both NYI and SJ and J.T. choosing to sign it.

From 12-13 to 16-17 Isles lost to Pens in OT of game 6, lost by 1 goal to Caps in a game 7 and got to second round after beating Panthers. The following year we missed the playoffs by 1 single point.
Snow did a lot of stupid things, 100%. But to say we had no competitive teams during Pajama's 9 years is ridiculous. Not having Hamonic for that Caps series hurt us and waiting too long to fire Capuano in 16-17 cost us a playoff spot.

Enjoy this year as it will be the only one where you have all 4 of Pajama boy, Matthews, Nylander and Marner.

Karma means cause and effect, not cosmic justice. The Leafs used skillful action to improve their situation, the Islanders didn't. That's really the karmic nature of the situation.

Pajama boy screwed over our entire fanbase by letting the midnight deadline on June 30th pass while he was working on deal with Leafs is Cause
Pajama boy screwing over the payroll of the Leafs which apparently were in a better position to win than isles is Effect.

Tavares getting burned by the Islanders who refused to build around him properly after he gave them one of the most cap-friendly deals ever is the cause. Going to a legitimate NHL franchise is the effect.

GUess i have to paste this response for you as well.

p.s. a legit nhl franchise would have won a Stanley Cup with more than 6 teams in the league. The curse will continue from 1967-2025 at least. enjoy!
