tbh i dont know enough about him, his stats arent really wowwing.. but he might turn out to be a good player. Johnsson gained the trust of a lot of Leafs fans last season so for that reason i give him the edge at this point.

The last time someone thought an offer sheet was likely to a star player, a Leafs fan lost a bet. This is even more unlikely with Marner, for several reasons as already stated.

Islanders should offersheet Matthews out of spite, hard seeing any number that Toronto would not match, but they could completely screw their cap situation if they were to offer him a bigger deal than McDavid's.

You know, if I was an Islanders fan I'd be much more upset about the fact that my team couldn't keep Tavares and/or build a team competitive enough to entice him to stay.

I guess to some it's more much reasonable hating on the Leafs for offering J.T. a lower valued contract than both NYI and SJ and J.T. choosing to sign it.
