The jury is still out on Hutton, but he had a solid stretch there last season and has gone 30-15-5 over the past two seasons, albeit with STL, but still.
I like O'Reilly, but I've also think he's been a bit overrated over the years imo. Skinner although a W should replace some of what was lost in ROR.
Still don't think BUF is a playoff team this year, but stranger things have happened. Given the number of powerhouses in the East and especially in the Atlantic with TB, BOS and TOR near locks for the top 3 spots, best case scenario BUF would be battling with NJ, PHI, FLA and CLB for a 7/8 spot. - As_I_See_It
O’Rielly is underatted IMO. He’s a complete player, dominates the possession game on a horrible Buffalo team.
They traded him because they had to, he always had bad things to say about the team. Leads me to believe that they just agreed to move on. |

Post-Retirement[edit]
Murphy became the coach and general manager of the GMHL Alliston Coyotes in their inaugural season, however he took leave from the team midway through the playoffs due to an undisclosed allegation which resulted in a Trespass Order issued against him by the Town of New Tecumseth.[13] On 5 March 2014, Murphy formally announced his resignation.[14] On July 6, 2018, Murphy visited the studios of Q104 / KenoraOnline and DrydenNow to talk about his struggles with post-concussion symptoms, as well as his participation in the class action lawsuit with the NHL. He acknowledged that he was essentially homeless and destitute in Kenora.[15]

I don't know, man... Risto and Okposo should rebound a bit; Eichel and Reinhart should take their next steps; They added Skinner, Sheary, Sobotka and Berglund; Cut some dead weight in Lehner, Pouliot and Gorges.
A 30 point improvement will be tough, but I definitely think they'll be improved. - As_I_See_It
Oh they should definitely improve. Maybe it's more Reddit that's given me this read on some Buf fans. |

They're basically the Leafs but weaker down the middle and way better on D. |

Is there? Only one I've seen that thinks they're gonna be great now is Garf (he's already called Dahlin the best d-man in the world ). Most I see just think they'll improve from what they were. And I agree. They'll be better but probably still a bottom 10ish team. - GreatGigInTheSky
Remember during the world juniors one year, when Garf said about grigorenko "is there a better player in the world right now??" |

The funny thing is I was about to write something sarcastic about Ian Ziering being the most successful of the cast post-90210, but damn, that might actually be true.
I guess Shannon Doherty had that show about witches for a while, and Tori Spelling had some embarrassing reality shows, but what the hell else have they done?
Didn't Jennie Garth have a reality show about building her house or something? |

Super Freakorenko!
WOW!
If you missed the Russia vs. Switzerland quarter finals game this morning, you missed a classic grudge match! This nail biter won't soon be forgotten in Russia, as the host squad faced the sobering chance to be eliminated from the medal round. This was a win to stay in game. It wasn't easy, but in the end. russia prevailed due in large part to the heroics of Grigorenko.
Russia wins it 4-3, in the shootout. They will host Sweden on Thursday night. Canada will face USA.
Sabres super sniper prospect, Mikhail Grigorenko was the best player on the ice, and he earned player of the game honors for his heroics.
On December 23, Russia played a sloppy pre-WJC exhibition game against the Swiss. They scored a 7-5 win. The Russians needed that scare in entering the tourney so that it could get its defense and goaltending in shape for the rigors of the WJCs.
On Wednesday in Ufa, both teams battoned down the hatches and played an inspired brand of team-first defense. each goaltender was sensational.
Grigo scored the shootout winner against the pesky Swiss. Grigo also scored his first goal of the WJCs (four assists), which gave Russia the 2-1. Grigo also set up Nikita Kucherov's game tying goal with 1:39 remaining in regulation play. moments before, Grigorenko had scored what appeared to be the game tying goal by driving the puck down the right wing wall, then hard-cutting on his inside edges to the blue ice where he collided with Swiss goalie Nyffeler. The puck crossed the goal line, however, the play play was reviewed and it was found that the net had been knocked off its pegs before the puck had crossed the goal line. Russia powerplay. Grigo beauty pass to Kucherov. Game tying goal. A thing of despeartion and beauty.
Kucherov, Grigorenko, and Alexander Khokhlachyov scored for the Russians in regulation. Christoph Bertschy, Martin Ness and Sven Andrighetto scored for Switzerland, and Samuel Guerra had two assists.
Russia’s Andrei Vasilevski and Switzerland’s Melvin Nyffeler performed admirably in a classic goalie battle, which saw shots on goal favor the Swiss 44-37.
I'm expecting sabres prospect, Andrey Makarov, to get the net for Russia vs. Sweden on Thursday night as Mikhail Varnakov has been rotating evenly his two goalies.
Is there a better, more complete hockey player in the world right now than Grigorenko?
