Rangers sign Dustin Tokarski. #Should compete for the backup job with Georgiev and Mazanec.

Solid stay at home D that could clear the crease. Like you said, without Beuk, Leetch might not have prospered without that stability Beuk provided.

Hank ranked 25/31 of starting goalies in NHL by The Hockey News

What a joke

- rrentz

Who were some of the people they ranked above him that are head scratchers?

I am sure Bobrovsky is well ahead of him, even though he's literally the worst playoff goalie ever

Actually this is perfect. Because Tokarski stinks. Keep Georgiev in Hartford, let Tokarski win the backup job. He loses most of the games he starts, we improve the pick. Gorton knows what's up.

How do you "win" a job if you stink at it

James Patrick on Lafontaine

this was such a monster thing when it happened, led to the infamous brawl with Vukota and Baumgartner

- jimbro83

Remember this like it was yesterday. I was in 8th grade, the fights in the school yard the next day were legendary too in North Babylon! I was one of maybe 6 or 7 true die hard Ranger fans, we were heavily outnumbered in that town.

Both plays were bad, the Patrick hit and the goonery Al Arbour KNEW would happen by putting Vukota & Bomber on the ice w 2 seconds left.

The misconception has always been Roger Nielsen didn't resond but he did! Chris Nilan & Kris King were on the ice, the 2 toughest forwards on that team (pre Domi & Kocur). Nilan somehow got caught up with Trottier of all players but didn't pummel him in that brawl.

The urban legend was that Ranger fans in the tunnel were rocking the ambulance Lafontaine was in as it was leaving the Garden. IDK ever if that actually happened.
