Jake Gardiner an elite d-man hahaha. Give it up tanner. You must literally never watch hockey. His play in game 7 this year against Boston was disgusting. I wanted to smash my tv after that game because of him |

There wasn't a lick of facts in that article? Just you saying that injuries where the sole reason everything bad happened. Also how does 20 something games make anyone a certain superstar ????? There is literally a 1-5% chance that the yotes even come close to being what you say they will and about a 95-99% chance that what everyone else is saying will happen. Im sure if we looked back almost every team probably had a good stretch of games where they saw much more elite results then their rosters would indicate and no one is proclaiming those teams to have one of the best rosters in the league ... What was thw evidence backing that up again? That the yotes dont have a single loser on there team ???? I find that hard to believe plus being something on a decent team is one thing but being that same player on the yotes roster is a lot different so I wouldnt say any new player they got is a lock to just pick up where they left off on their old clubs. |

When the Coyotes lost to the Ducks game 1 last year you had to know it was going to be a long season. Ducks were decimated with injuries and still managed to pull out a 5-4 win after trailing 4-1.
Let's see where the Yotes are after 10 games this year. I don't think they're gonna start nearly as bad as last year, but I think the first 10 games is a reasonable sample to see how this team stacks up. |

And once again this is why Tanner's words are always laughed at. The use of "potential" and "potentially" is glittered throughout his babblings like a stripper on a bender.
His arguments are always based on "potential" while he combats others with "stats". We get it...trolling for hits *giggle giggle*. Everyone has "potential", if every Senator "potentially" hits their career highs they could be a force in the NHL. Matthews could "potentially" lead the league in points blah blah blah. It's cool to dream sometimes, but let's look at what HAS BEEN done, not what if.
Yeah yeah one of the best rosters in the NHL IF they ALL hit their "potential" and everyone else goes down says the silly fans of every single team. |

Im not sure how a team considered to have one of the best rosters in the nhl will be hard pressed to have 1 player score 25 goals.... |

My favorite quote from last year's coyotes will be great blog. 1 of 6 not bad.
"I could see them beating out San Jose and Anaheim, as well as St.Louis and the Blackhawks, all of whom I see taking a step back.
I think Oilers will win the Conference with the Flames right behind them. " |

Well if they all "potentially" have 50 goal seasons they could be considered one of the best teams ever. |

Warren Foegele has averaged 123 points per 82 games the last season, could "potentially" be the best player in the league.
Wow this is pretty easy to write blogs. |

The Coyotes have a lot of good young players but do these players have the right chemistry and leadership? |

Still trying to figure out how Darcy Kuemper is the best backup in the league, he must make a mean mix drink while sitting on the bench. |

The blog post is pretty click bait-ey, but in the end makes some good points. The Yotes do have a good blue line with some real depth in the fwds. The lack of high end talent up front hurts, but teams have shown they be be competitive without that top end talent. Goaltending is semi proven, really interested to see how Raanta performs over a full season.
They remind me a lot of the Hurricanes of last season, who I thought underperformed. A lot of potential and pieces in place trying to take the next step. Some teams do it, some don't. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing what this team can do and if they can break through to the next level.
The thing that would keep them away from a division or conference title would be the lack of proven high end fwd talent, that kind of skill is what gets you those extra points over a long season in the NHL. But there's no reason to think they can't compete for a spot, especially since there is so much parity in the NHL. |

The Coyotes do have a great roster, and I'd question the bonafides of anyone who didn't think so. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. - james_tanner1

I used to think you were a real talented troll. But now I know you are just really upbeat and optimistic. My entire view of your recent blogger work was turned upside down with this blog
Full disclosure I’m sitting at an ocean front bar several drinks in staring at a wall of gorgeous women in bikinis.
I will be crushed if number one is not your triumphant return as the yotes blogger. |

A Walt Disney "Fantasia" assessment of AZ. They AT BEST are a bubble team and at worst top five lottery. Detroit has as much talent as the Yotes.

Well unfortunately, this happens to be true. Best goalie tandem. Close to the best blue line, and a great group of forwards. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean I'm not right.
There is zero hyperbole in this article. It's just a fact, and you're going to see soon enough. - james_tanner1
If you say that often enough it sounds like truth.
Were you a cheer leader in high school? You obviously didn't play hockey beyond fantasy or house league. Kumpher washed out twice and the line to sign Ranta wasn't that long, so how these two represent the best tandem in the NHL is laughable. Even with Grubaur or Hutton they couldn't make that claim.
With no elite forwards scoring will be sporadic and close games will not stay close in the third period JUST LIKE LAST YEAR. Are the Yotes better? Yes I think so, but they are a bubble team at best and will need help from the good teams to sniff a playoff spot.
I read your blog for its entertainment value, just like a comic strip, as you are funny without trying to be. |
