That's the whole point. So far there's no reason to sit him. He's shown poise in the pocket even when it's collapsing around him, he hasn't made any "WTF was that?" throws, yet. He hasn't been the most accurate, but he has been the best so far. 3 straight scoring drives on Friday for 13 of the 19 points scored. Nick O'Leary beat a blown coverage for an easy TD with Peterman, McCarron did nothing, 4 straight 3 and outs.

I think starting allen will fire up the fan base. I know russ. Brandon isnt running the hype train but, the kid will sell tickets too

My opinion is mostly based on week 1,
which i did watch closely

And again...
i don’t care at all if Peterman or Aj are better than Allen right now or not
(Although Peterman looked great week1)

I care about developing Allen correctly
He is the future
We can’t afford to screw it up just bc we don’t have a Favre to start while he gets “ready”

I would guess it depends on how bad he'd be, but he's already been named the starter for 6 days from now, the first game was like 2 hours before the game, the second one I'm not sure, but everyone assumed it would be Peterman. If you look at the way they've handled the whole thing everything points to him being the starter assuming he doesn't blow a tire.

The 2 plays that stood out were the TD, and the blown coverage by the WR or TE, whoever was supposed to pick up the DB that came free, and he didn't try and be a hero. Just took the sack, live to fight another day. That takes a long time for some guys to get and some never do they'll just chuck it up and hope for the best.
