Well last year, this man had 102!!! FACTS
- ClaudeFather

And still doesn't boost his PPG higher than Tavares over the past 5 seasons.

Plus Giroux even got demoted off of Center position, must have been a liability or something.

He also whined when he didn't make team Canada, guess who did though? What a little female dog..

He doesn't care about facts. He cares about getting a response. If you provide one he will continue to come back.

It doesn't matter that you are right because he's not here to engage in legitimate discussion or debate. He's here to get a rise out of people because he lacks something in his life outside of the internet. Give him what he wants, whether positive or negative attention, and he wins. Ignore him and he just continues to flail around and make a fool of himself to anyone who actually knows poop about hockey.

True. Very true.
I was looking forward to a comeback line if he kept
Going.
I have no life apparently😄

Giroux wasn't demoted. He was simply moved off of center because it's a more demanding position to play. Giroux is not a big guy and he had some injuries in the past. It could help prolong the amount of time that he is a top player.

Giroux should've made team Canada.

Anyone who thinks that Taveras is not an elite player is just a schmuk! Plain and simple no matter what team he roots for. Now you put him in a situation where he is centering a line and another star is centering a different line. Which line do you send out your top defense pairing against? Then you have a 30 goal scorer as a 3rd line center? If they get solid goaltending, the Leafs may be only a defenseman away from being a Cup team.

Last 5 seasons:
Tavares 0.984 PPG
Giroux 0.953 PPG

- stonehead

And that’s with Tavares playing with a much weaker supporting cast and coaching.

Didn't have to they knew he was a loser. Barzal over Tavares all day.
- ClaudeFather

Let’s see how Barzal does without the benefit of sheltered minutes behind Tavares. The quality of competition Barzal will face will inevitably increase this season. Fact.

That’s just a nice way of saying you got demoted.

So what you are saying is...the Flyers have a lot of good players?

Isn't it ironic that, that is exactly what some Leaf posters do also...do the refs a favour and don't flag unnecessary posts, I know he came in and soft trolled this blog with the Tavares jabs but they weren't really that offensive.
- Makita

I don't doubt that at all but we both know that doesn't make it right. I would expect those posters to be flagged and dealt with accordingly as you've done in this instance.

We deal with this frequently here. Offensive no. Just gets tiresome.

Unless the Oilers poop the bed again, McDavid will probably win it. He is simply so much better than the rest of the elite players in this league.

The Flyers have a lot of good players. I think if you guys can get some decent goaltending you'll have a solid team. The goalie position seems to have been the Achilles heel for Philly for a while now.

If you've been following the convo on here, there really hasn't been much bashing of your players, even Giroux, just Leafs fans defending JT and suggesting he's at least a comparable player. Which is true. Both are elite players.

Never understood why this bothers people. I picture people having temper tantrums yelling "This is my safe space!". I find it extremely odd behavior to have a segregation mindset, especially on a website about sports.

Real hockey fans enjoy talking hockey, not just in their own teams bubble.

It's a definite possibility. Especially if the Oilers have a rebound year.

I was just curious, it is somewhat refreshing to read a fan of another team consider there are good players on the Flyers. I was starting to wonder how the Flyers finished 3rd in the division and eliminated in the first round by the defending champs with such a "lame team"....actual words used by a blogger never to be mentioned.

See, we're talking hockey with you now. That other idiot was just spewing useless opinions as facts in order to troll. There's a difference.

Roger. Don't know where they are but thanks for picking up the slack. I know you've had to do the same before.

What’s pretty funny is he’s talking about how cool and funny it is that this guy is trolling this thread and then he flags the post.
- Cptmjl

I mean, it's not as funny as a well known troll and clearly butt hurt Isles fan chiming in with an inane little quip but I guess it's good for a chuckle.

We are talking about Linemates not necessarily the team in general. And yes Claude Giroux has played with MUCH better Linemates throughout his career. It's not even an argument for debate tbh.

But to answer your question. Flyers have some good players no doubt about it. Much better than Islanders that's for sure.

Hmm, does his last name rhyme with scammer? Does he like to pick and choose statistics to make wild claims? Just a wild guess.
