If you mean his game 1 TD pass, that’s incorrect.

Go to Dan Orlovsky’s Twitter. He breaks it down and showed how he made the corner think he was throwing to the flat with a slight pump fake

He did stare down the WR the entire time though. Watch it again
He doesn’t look at another WR the entire time

Sure, the fake was nice...
but Orlovsky even went on to say,
“A starting safety in the NFL will get over in time to pick that ball off”

I’m not saying Allen sucks
I’m saying he still needs work
And there’s no reason to rush him

He's also not going to make stuff up. Allen is dynamite in the pocket under pressure, so far. He looks like Roethlisballs back there shuffling around trying to find an open lane. He hasn't looked much like a rookie yet, maybe that's because we haven't had a QB since Bledsoe.

I hated the pick, but he's shown a lot so far, and his accuracy issues, again, so far, seem wildly overstated. I'm not saying he's Kurt Warner or anything, but neither has he been Blaine Gabbert.

- Wetbandit1

I agree he’s moved well in the pocket,
and in general, his mobility is better than i expected

None of that has to do with reading the pass defense & knowing where to go with the ball

Allen has looked VERY “talented”
But that’s different from knowing how to play QB in the NFL

It’s not like i don’t want him to be awesome

What’s wrong with putting him on a track like the Rams did with Goff?

That’s the better comparable than to Wentz
So far
In my opinion

I’ll say again...
so far
In my opinion

Long Island iced teas are the supermarket frozen burger patty of drinks

Sure, u can stomach it
But why not just have something that’s actually good instead?

If u really need to get drunk fast,
just take a few shots of your favorite liquor

Why do you say he’s not ready? You can’t just say it - the kid has exceeded expectations in both of his preseason opportunities, and you have admitted you didn’t even watch the game closely.

If there’s something specific your referring to you should say so and let us know what it is.

Otherwise this is just a preconceived notion.

I said last week that Allen looked as advertised. Had the ability to make big throws, but needs work about everything else. I also said I wouldn't lose sleep if I didn't see him start a game until 2019.

I've done a complete 180. He's looked more than competent for two weeks in a row, which is much more than pretty much any scouting service thought he would amount to. With McCarron hurt, this season is going to be much less interesting unless Allen starts.

Plus, the clown is right: either a player has it or he doesn't. Good players aren't "ruined" by being played too early. It might delay their development, but eventually, they figure it out if they have it. If Josh Allen is ultimately a bust, it won't be because he started Week 1 of his rookie season. It will be because he never had what it took to succeed in this league in the first place.

That pass does show he still needs work. At this point, I am willing to go with him even knowing those shortcomings.

This team with Nathan Peterman under center will be at best boring and mediocre, and at worst a disaster. This team with Josh Allen under center is at least interesting.

They had Hall of Fame QBs, or pretty close ahead of them.

Edit: If Bledsoe doesn't get in he'll be robbed, I didn't realize how good his numbers are. He blows away Aikman and is better than total, but about on par with Young.

- Wetbandit1

Bledsoe is one of the most under-appreciated/under-rated QB's of all-time, IMO.

Basically took the Pats to two Super Bowls, and was putting up huge numbers in an era when all you had was the occasional "career season" from most of the all-time great guys. Bledsoe was very consistent at a high level.

HoF worthy, absolutely.

Pretty much the bolded part, not the stats, is what matters most.

Agreed here. I mean, it’s possible they are, but I think it’s the situation rather than the player itself.

I think the 2012-2015 Buffalo Sabres ruined a few careers, especially with having guys like Rolston and Nolan as coaches.

I don’t think that’s a worry here with the Bills. IMO they have a little more offensive talent than people give credit for.

They have a HOF running back, adequate TE play, and I think Zay Jones is better than his year was last year.

They should be OK at the skill positions but the OLine gives cause for concern if they don’t improve on Friday’s performance. They looked OK against the 2s while Allen played, but they’re probably one of the reasons McCarron got injured.

Sure
But i want what’s best for his development long term

We don’t have the team around him to shelter him like Pitt did with Big Ben & Seattle did with Wilson

I don’t see anything wrong with bringing him along like the Rams did with Goff

U guys are so damn impatient
