You can send us Yamamoto or Jesse and a high pick anytime you want for Faulk....maybe Jesse P just needs to ride Aho's finn doodle again to be an
effective NHLer. - FinnGod
You're terrible GM gave away Skinner for less than we got for Eberle... let that sink in good. |

If he wasn't UFA in two years I would consider Barrie for Pulju to be a good move. |

Flyers already have :
Provorov
Gostisbehere
Hagg
MacDonald
Sanheim
Gudas
Folin
Close:
Meyers
Gudas can be a solid defender but I think Hagg can play with the same physicality and not take as many penalties. I think they could move him but also wouldn't be shocked to see him kept around too since he is a RH shot.

Barrie for Nuge could be a plan B, have your people call my people, but have you people call Iggy to tell him to suck it before calling me |

My people make that call promptly at the start of each business day. |

The Jets have a few d-men that can fill in at a reasonable cost to the Oilers. One of Morrow, Chariot, or Kulikov could be had for futures as the Jets have Poolman and Niku ready for full time duty. They would be a cheap and decent addition until Sekera is healthy or the Oilers make a bigger, but costlier move to get a top 4 d-man. |

Leafs are where the Oilers were 1 year ago.
If the leafs miss by 15 points next year while suffering multiple key injuries and a seriously down year by their 1G are they a mess?
Not saying the Oilers are a lock to get in, but you just have to get to the 2nd season, then things can get crazy. Oilers at least showed up their 1 time there. Leafs did what?
Oilers could ride a goalie on his contract year and a few guys entering their new contracts who wanna show this isnt their peak...
Maple land may see a team decide its thiers. And coast. Results arent made on paper. For all we know the Knights arent just a 1 year wonder. - wreckage
They are two opposite franchises. Even if the Leafs have a poor year, they are deep in the prospect pool and are better team in terms of player development.
Also, the Leafs have not made any panic moves while the Oilers have traded quality players and prospects for 'not so good' returns

If the Oilers struggle this year Chiarelli gets fired. So I think we should expect a major deal to take place. Can’t blame the guy, he has to get into the playoffs this year. |

Once the season starts, Sekera gets put on LTIR and they sign Enstrom to a 1 year deal worth ~2.5 to 3mil. |

That's ugly. Enstrom is a #6 at best now |

I'm no Leaf fan but they did make the playoffs the past 2 season so you're not really helping your case. |

Not sure I agree, but even so that's precisely what we need right now. Any reasonable view of the coming year didn't have Sekera higher than the bottom pairing. Might as well find his closest analog that's available for free rather than giving up any serious assets.
Nurse- Larsson
Klefbom- Benning
Enstrom- Russell
Gravel
Definitely not ideal, but teams have made it with worse and without McDavid. What we need is a healthy year from Klefbom and for our new D coach to be all he's cracked up to be. Midseason acquisitions aren't out of the question, either. |

We need someone that can step in and play top 4. I'm fine grabbing Enstrom, but he's a #6 at this point in his career. There needs to be another move.
We damn near already needed a guy that could play top 4 before Sekera went down. That has now hurt even more. |

Wow...
McDavid (unless he's play D now) can't make up for that what that back end looks like. Talbot NEEDS to play better than he did 2 years ago or it could be a long season.
Sorry MB...
