Here's Sammy (frank)ing up two of Leafs fans biggest crushes. This is the guy who couldnt do a chin-up... He plays inspired, like Kadri. I like that. Browns a (frank)in softie. And he didnt do (frank) all the second half of the season.

Didn't realize Bennett was that much of a goon. I wouldn't mind adding him to the leafs. Gilmour had high praise for him too.
Bennet wouldn't be bad, like the idea of Marchment up but not sure that won't happen next season not this one. I think they will continue to let them get time with the Marlies till they are good and ready.

I would also take a date with the octomom..
Another season might be best for him, but i hope he gets some call ups.

Yeah I have picard hair already and the rest were kinda meh.... might as well have the interesting choice there!
And yeah I would not mind him being called up. I would like to see some size and grit to round things out especially in the bottom two lines.
At least for a nice change we are talking about that and not what a dumpster fire the team is with no hope and nothing coming in the farm system, let alone going WHAT farm system

haha very true.
Timashov will probably be the next guy to get talked about i think. Marlies still have some really good players.

Hard no to the 5 old (frank)s you want to add.. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Pure depth. 4th line, 13th forward, 7th defense, back-up goalie. Saves you from having to waste the draft picks at the deadline and half of them play rough and tough so if you need that in the playoffs, they're available.

No to trading Nylander for Karlsson.. It's a bad idea. - Arctic_AARDVARK
It's a fair deal and the best one Ottawa is going to get right now which means there's a good chance they cave in and end up giving up Karlsson for less than he's actually worth.
Nylander is a very good player beside Matthews but the reality is, Karlsson has proven to be the best player at his position. Even if you don't believe the Norris' he won were warranted (even though they were), he's at worst a top 5 D in the NHL right now. Nylander will most likely never be a top 5 forward in the NHL. The Leafs would be trading from a position a strength and addressing an area of need and be giving up something they already have a lot of.

It's far too expensive. You're trading away the future for a bit of right now and it's completely unnecessary.
Don't bother replying, I know what you're going to say anyway, and it's still wrong.

It's not too expensive for two reasons. For one, that deal is significantly less than what Karlsson would be worth if he were on good terms with the Senators. That's a relative bargain. Two, you're getting high quality in return for something you already have a lot of.
The future? Are you high? The Leafs still have Matthews, Marner, Rielly and plenty of other young guys, plus Tavares in his prime. Stop pretending Nylander is the one and only offensive forward the Leafs have because he isn't, nor is he even the best one they have.
Only thing that's wrong here is this silly notion that adding Karlsson for Nylander makes this team worse because it doesn't. The Leafs would be laughing to the bank to get away with getting Karlsson for their 4th best forward, a pending UFA and a late 1st round pick.
