62 PP points from players not named Boeser Sedin Horvat or Edler
- VANTEL

67 points spread across Gagner (11), Goldobin (2), Vanek (14), Pouliot (9), Baertschi (9), Granlund (3), MDZ (5), Eriksson (3), Boucher (2), Hutton (2), Burmistrov (2), Jokinen (2), Dowd (1), Gaunce (1), Stecher (1)

Second unit was not actually productive.

Bolded remain.

how many goalies have brought in higher returns in the cap era?

And weren't you usually among the crowd who mocked the people who judge trades during the day they occur? I remember it during the uproar of some of Benning's early moves.

I thought you believed in evaluating trades after a couple of years?

- Nucker101

At the time I thought it was a great trade, and I still do.

Lu's contract made it so that trading Schneider made the most sense, and when NJ paused at the draft I knew it was a trade with the Canucks. It made a ton of sense for us.

It's one of the better trades in Canucks history.

I was hoping for a better return at the time and was upset at Gillis. But now that I’ve looked at recent history, it’s just hard to get teams to pay a premium price for goalies

It was mostly 2 man play making . Sorry was never a fan

The second unit accounted for 62 points combined in very limited time.

Even if they find the production the Sedins produced, they'll still finish in the bottom of the league. It's not about replacing it, it's about totally exceeding it to become a better club.

29th in even strength scoring.

-22 and -21 even strength . Teams worst

There are parts of their game I respected and parts that I hated. Never was a fan of the two man unit.
- VANTEL

Whats wrong with 2 man units?
Its the norm...
3rd wheels throughout history

A ton of people were upset at the return, as well as the Horvat pick itself. If you remember, the fan base was clamouring for Shink at 9. It was a good pick after a good trade. I really have little reason to believe Gillis couldn’t have rebuilt this as quickly.

He did start spending more on scouting after he got here but they didn’t have too many draft picks.

I don't remember many people wanting Shinkaruk at 9. I remember a lot of Nichuskin and Domi takes, especially the next 2 years. I remember people crucifying Gillis for Horvat when Domi tore the WJC apart and NIchuskin jumped straight to the NHL. I still remember a lot of Domi love during his rookie season. Even a couple hot firey Kerby Rychel and Anthony Mantha takes I remember around the draft.
