with the injury to Sekera on the Oilers, are the Flyers a good trade partner?

To be fair, any team, at any time, with any player, is a good trade partner with Edmonton.

Yeah, not my favorite song overall. But I was intrigued to listen after hearing Weezer do a decent job of covering Africa. Toto's version, to me, is clearly better, for both songs.

I'm not disagreeing.

That said, Toto did a better job at it than Weezer.

all time terrible trade...

Bret Hull was traded by the Calgary Flames to the St. Louis Blues with his fellow teammate Steve Bozek for Rob Ramage and Rick Wamsley.

Terrible trade in hindsight, but Hull was a 6th round pick who put up 50 points (about 30 by today's standards) on a fairly stacked Calgary team. Also, the year after the traded Hull, they won the Cup.

Again, I am of the mindset that you have to view the trade at the time it was made, not years after the fact. The Jagr to Washington trade and the Dionne to LA trades were far more horrendous.

Funny thing is when i look at Edmonton there is not a ton i want. And anything I want will cost probably too much.

At this point it's not so much about what you want, it's about what you want to get rid of.

Addition by subtraction lol

I get it.

Best thing you would probably get for Gudas would be a pick unless you made a deal to take on Lucic, which to be honest i didn't mind at a time, but that was with trying to get another 1st rounder.

You could probably get a guy like Aberg and a 3rd, or maybe Gudas and a 4th for a 2nd.

I actually like Khaira. in a way he reminds me of Simmonds. Maybe could produce more if given bigger role.

Do you think you could get him straight-up for Gudas?

Edit: They'd have to clear it with Folin first

I am not sure. Depends on what Edmonton sees in him or thinks he can turn into. If they think he could eventually turn into a Simmonds, then no.

He's 6'3'', 209. Had 11 goals and 21 points in 69 games. He probably wouldn't develop into the goal scorer Simmonds is but I think he could be a 15 goal, 45 point guy who gives you a physical game and will drop the gloves if needed.

I'd think Folin would be all for being on the same team, wouldn't get his ass beat again.

Flyers really shouldn't be in any hurry to trade Gudas unless presented with an offer they can't turn down.
