I'm gonna go with Alexander Daigle and/or Tomas Sandstrom.
- jmatchett383

If Sandstrom was in BiggE's kitchen, it was because BiggE had him bound and gagged and was about to dump him in the Absecon Bay.

I don't think Iginla's eligible yet.

I was happy for Richards and Gagne, too. Not so much Carter.
- jmatchett383

Forgot Gagne. I was happy for him. Justin Williams is a good guy and he brought the cup to Jersey a time or two. He just didn't play that long in Philly.

I’m still wondering which one was in my damned kitchen!
- BiggE

In my kitchen? Is that a euphemism for something naughty?

The backer of a plan to gut and rebuild Seattle’s KeyArena said tariffs on construction materials such as steel, aluminum and rebar are ratcheting up the tab for the soon-to-be-overhauled venue, which will host an expansion team for the National Hockey League.

They'll probably get an existing NBA franchise to move there, as well.

As for the price, I'm sure that will be just passed along to the taxpayers, so NBD.

Arena being done with private money. Props to them for that.

In Seattle, at least, taxpayers won’t be on the hook for the extra money for KeyArena. That’s because Oak View is pursuing the project with private money, a strategy that helps avoid the political fights involved with using public funds, Leiweke said.

I didn't realize it was a done deal, though. I must've missed the official announcement.

Really????

That is rare.

Thanks again to Mr. Snider, for being one of the few who got his own arena funded on his own.

Yup. Why any taxpayer would want to be on the hook for any arena is beyond me.

I work in a business that is pretty heavily affected by the tariffs too. It is pretty wild how almost overnight so much can change for an industry.

I wonder if it might lead to some design changes for the arena and I know lots of people in the industry are trying to find other ways to import material and/or reuse material
