You can see if you can get a discount on your new Matthews jersey

Funny you say that, I got off the plane and always walk by the Leaf/Blue Jay sports shop in the domestic terminal when my wife call and I mentioned to her I was walking by there and said "look at all this Toronto poop" and pretended to spit. Apparently caught the attention of a few people who looked at me with disgust in their eyes

Not at all. I just think matthews is the best player in the nhl. Better ostensibly then McDavid based on the fact that McDavid can't match crosby's feet of a cup by year 3, but Mathews still can. So matthews is the best.

We won't really know what we have until we see EP and QH play in the NHL

You asked how far behind is Van from Buffalo and then answered your own question. In the end Van is about 4 years of tanking behind Buffalo.

More realistically Van is behind a 1oa and a 2oa pick.

You never heard of thinking out loud?

I wonder how far behind Hughes is from Dahlin because what I seen was very impressive .

Some here ask if Pettersson was the best player in the draft last year which would theoretically make him a number 1

Hey louis eriksson, jay beagle, and antoine roussel part of this jam-packed pipeline?

Wow an unchecked canuck fan writing hyperbole about the canucks horrible future...you don’t see that like every freakin’ day!

I would lump the canucks in with ottawa, detroit, and montreal as being complete non-entities for the next decade.

But when you go to gm place or whatever the dump is called now...you can see a giant retired jersey of stan smyl!!!

I remember as a kid, post cereals like honeycomb would have hockey cards inside. No one and i mean NO ONE would be caught dead with a canucks card.

How are you ever going to win the cup when you continually celebrate such mediocrity? Horrible.

Canucks kinda do remind me of the Islanders if you look at their drafting, in terms of position, from 2008 onward.

They had the 5th overall in 2008, 1st overall in 2009, 5th & 30th overall in 2010, 5th overall in 2011, 4th overall in 2012 and then they started to get a little bit better....they faded away again.

You really gotta have some luck in the draft to be a great team.

In a re-draft I bet Boeser would've went 5-8th overall in 2015 and Pettersson most likely would've went 1st or 2nd overall. Just my opinion. So there's some luck there for sure!!!

That is why I wonder how far behind our talent is. I think it could be very close. I was blown away by the skill of Hughes . Clearly the best player at the Summer Showcase.

I think Canucks back end scoring is really going to change next year and if OJ and Woo continue then we are in for some fun

You really should get out of your parents basement once in awhile, vitamin D deficiency (lack of sunlight) has been linked to a lot of cognitive issues.

I don't know, I always hold back a bit because the Canucks could very well become the Islanders if things don't go well.

Barzal would be 3rd, Boeser 4th with Provorov and Marner being 5th and 6th respectively. Barzal IMHO is just below Eichel right now in terms of skill/scoring ability and now that Tavares is gone might actually end up being better overall. Boeser is going to be a consistent 30+ goal scorer. Provorov will likely be a poor man's Hedman but I'd take that any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Marner likely gets a little underappreciated because he plays beside Matthews (and now Tavares)

I'd also say that Pettersson probably goes 1OA instead of Hischler in a 2017 redraft (depending on how much muscle/weight gain he has at training camp)
