It really is. I can proudly crush one myself in one sitting. One of those foods that has to be hidden from me at parties. I’ll just slowly take it down.

I think the big thing was you really had to call a day before to get it so the effort to actually have it made people force themselves to enjoy it or look like an idiot.

"(frank)ing had to order it the day before, drive 45 minutes when the sun was coming up and pay way too much for dough, painted on sauce and a breath of shakey parm. You'll eat this female dog and rave or I will end you."

They’re a fun drunk late night snack when you have them. Bagels also go with eggs and bacon/sausage/porkroll! Never got into lox, but not a big seafood guy.

People around me really overrate Tacconelli's Pizza I feel like. I think it's really good, not sure it's the best pizza I've ever had though.

When I was a kid I thought Lorenzo's was good pizza. I moved to Brooklyn in 1996. I came back to Philly and had a slice of Lorenzo's in like 2003. I didn't realize just how terrible it was until I'd been exposed to NYC pizza. The Newhaven Connecticut Apizza style is phenomenal. Highly recommend.
