I still think Sbisa is a good pick up. And
I would like to see what Mark Fayne could do on a PTO.
I think those 2 are an improved bottom 2

Vermette, maybe. The rest of the UFA's mentioned here can collectively take a slow boat to the KHL.

Jesus Mike, you really need to stop worrying about the contract limit

I think the contract limit will not allow the Leafs to offer a contract a pto player unless they do a 5:1 trade again

that would be the player I'd over a PTO to and see if he can still keep up with this Leafs squad. Also he can replace Komarov on the PK.

I don't think The GOAT will win the 4th line center position but you never know.

Tanner is gonna need 10 minutes alone in the bathroom

The most intriguing is Franson, who signed a one-year deal with Chicago just before the beginning of last season and played 23 games for the Hawks before being sent to the AHL. The 30-year-old has long been an analytics darling and scored 28 points in 37 games for Rockford and a point-per-game in the Calder Cup Playoffs and before signing with the Hawks expressed an interest in returning to Toronto, where he was acquired from Nashville in 2011 and dealt back to the Preds in 2015.

I don't think 10 minutes will do. he'd take a 4th of that time to get the the deed done cause of those darling stats. The Eye test says differently.

We had 2 years of Franson in Buffalo. He was so good that he couldn't be moved at the deadline the second year. I guess GMs were afraid he would make their other d men look bad

I'd love to see some of the guys mentioned battling for the 4th line C at camp and hopefully one of them seeing some time there at the start of the season to see if it works out. Dubas better have someone experienced that can sit up in the box in his back pocket though.

Leafs could always give us another 2nd to get Plekanec again.

We can do this every year if you want.

I think the Leafs already learned what they could in terms of what Plekanec is capable of. Next time I think we'll be better off trading a 2nd, dzierkals and some other borderline AHLer for another washed up Habs centre, maybe Drouin.

Good god those d options are horrendous. Hard pass on that junk.

I could see them maybe possibly bringing one of vermette or letestu in if they are still available

- burn

Enstrom wouldn’t be bad at all. His time would need to be managed, like Hainsey’s, but he’s a better player than the latter... having both would help with time management.

Vermette on the other hand is awful. Arguably one of the worst players in the league. Leafs would be better off letting an internal promotion take the role. If they do go looking for depth, bringing Stajan back would be a good move. Much better player currently than Vermette, and also a strong faceoffs guy.

Habs will go back to being a decent hockey team in the 2020-2021 season.

Decent, as in borderline playoff team, barely missing out every year, and picking in the middle of the pack of the 1st round in perpetuity?

how big is the "haul" going to be for Pussorietty... Garth huge or just normal ?

how big does get that "haul" factor into the Habs return to being a "decent hockey team" ...

seriously the guy the Habs should be moving (if possible) is Gallagher - before another injury - turns him into nothing more than a 3rd round pick

I think the last guy they should be moving is Gallagher.

He's young, good and incredibly annoying to play against. Every single team would benefit from having a guy like that. Signed to a pretty good deal too.

If they really want to rebuild, they should move Price and Weber, not just turned 26 year old Gallagher.

And after seeing what Skinner brought the Canes, despite Pacioretty being the better player, I think we can only hope for a pick or two and prospect at this point... despite what Bergevin seems to want.

A veritable treasure trove of assets.

At least a first line centre like Berglund, and potential top 6 player like Sabotka, and premium low 1st and 2nd round picks that are guaranteed to pan out.

Why would my post posting the link of the article mike wrote which Is basically the same as this article deleted? If you don’t agree with me mike you could at least state your opinion. You write the blogs. We discuss it. But only if you like what we are writing. Nice blog though. 👍
