But everyone is all creamy about RNH, at $6M/yr, a 1OA, who scored fewer points than sam as a more established vet.

Helluva good point. I just looked at RNH states. 24 + 24 vs 25 + 25 for Samson. In fact, in 7 NHL seasons, RNH highest goal total is 24 and points is 56. Samson at 2 x $5 million bridge deal makes sense.

We have a ton of players that can fill a bottom 6 spot on this roster next year. One of Bailey/Baptiste, one of Girgensons/Larsson, and one of Nylander/Guhle paired with the STL or SJS 1st rounder should be able to bring in another top 6 forward.
