Really not sure if the Sabres are a playoff team right now. I will say this. It is time for Jack Eichel to step up and prove that he is worth 10 million a year. No excuses Jack. Great players find ways of helping their team win. period.

Maybe, but worst case is a 5.25m QO next year. If they couldn't agree on a long term deal, it's his next best option.

It's sort of a rough stretch to start the year.

Golden Knights twice in the first 6 games, plus Boston. Couple weak teams sprinkled in there too, though. As long as they aren't 1-4-1 to start, they should hover around 9-10th. Maybe a late push or an unexpected year from a player can push them to 7th or 8th.

Seems like a no brainer to me. Not sure how RNH would fit on this team though.
