Anyone remember what a poor skater Tavares was in junior? I went to a Gens game here in Ottawa and noticed that despite his superior skill his skating was noticeably mediocre. Then a few years ago against the Leafs he broke free on a breakaway and was flying down ice. It was something he worked on over the years and had made a big difference.

I'm enjoying the beach with friends and family today. Did some hiking along trails with some caves yesterday. Had a nice backyard bonfire and some moose tenderloin for dinner. Got to put some rounds through the old hunting rifle Friday.

Anyone remember what a poor skater Tavares was in junior? I went to a Gens game here in Ottawa and noticed that despite his superior skill his skating was noticeably mediocre. Then a few years ago against the Leafs he broke free on a breakaway and was flying down ice. It was something he worked on over the years and had made a big difference.

Apparently he knew it was a weakness in junior and he worked hard to change that.

I also watched him play at the civic center for the knights.. Kadri was better than him.. tbh, they're probably pretty comparable.. Kadri a little better in the defensive side of things, and JT is better at everything else..

I'm totally in! Not going to wonder how good or bad it could be just going to enjoy the ride.

Although I must say that Patrick Stewart's best work is playing the role of Avery Bullock.
