And I'm just saying that so far, Botts trades on paper look better than any that Murray did. You can say that Murray hit on Pu all you want, I'll come back and say UPL has that upside as well. Jeff's not one to give up the puck much. He likes to have it on his stick or on the net. Maybe having a guy like Eichel changes that, but when Skinner gets the puck he usually is trying to find a way to get it into the net himself well before he considers passing it.

Maybe he had "I'm the only guy capable of doing anything useful" syndrome. Perhaps moving into a new system and realizing he's not the only elite scoring threat on a team will change his perspective.

Jeff's best seasons came playing with guys like Rask, or Tuomo Ruutu. He never managed to find any chemistry with Eric Staal or Sebastian Aho.

Not that he played with them all that much either sometimes.

I think it would be a good thing to find a guy to replace his abilities at a contract that reflects those abilities.

He's not a black hole like Larsson. He makes players around him better. I think if Pom is here today at 2.5 mil, no one even bats an eye.
