I guess I'm just going off the way situations like this happen. Typically, a team won't sign then trade a player. Bad PR, future RFAs/UFAs would be less likely to sign.

There are 4 top-six upside forwards (Frost, Farabee, O'Brien and possibly Ratcliffe or Allison), a top-4 upside D (Myers) and a potential No. 1 goalie (Hart) on that list, and I don't even agree with their top-10. Not meh at all.

Isn't the far and wide consensus that Hart is pretty much a generaltional goalie prospect? How is Farabee ranked above him. Just the flukiness that comes along with goalie prospects?

You are right, the situation up there is not normal. Still would be quite odd to sign and trade imo.

top 10 prospect rankings are tough, especially when you factor in goalies, but here is how I'd rate them. FYI: I don't consider Lindblom a prospect any more, he's a Flyer.

If I was tkachuk I'd go back to school and wait to see what happens in Ottawa before committing to them. Or request a trade. He doesn't have much leverage and he will lose a few million is deal a he passed up on but he will get paid one day regardless.
I'd run from that organization with how poorly it's managed and operated. They are about to be the Edmonton oilers...a barren wasteland where nobody wants to go

Allison is someone I really think will be impressive once he is with the Flyers. i think he has all the tools. The injury sucked because I think he would have turned pro. I know the hype is with Frost, Farabee, Rubstov...but I think Allison is going to be a legit top 6 player.

If he waits until he hits FA after college like Wheeler and Veasey he still can only sign an ELC and everyone will offer him what Ottawa did.

what sucks is whoever buys them could be doing so without Karlsson, Stone and Duchene. And no 2019 1st rounder. imagine if they actually win the lotto and Hughes goes to Colorado.

OTOH, if that's the case, you'd get em a little cheaper and, if you are willing to build via the draft, would likely have a couple of top 5 picks to start with in 2020 and 2021.
