Okposo and Moulson were brutal contracts signed after those players were gifted time next to Tavares on Long Island. Neither were legitimate NHL players after that despite scoring 60 points with JT dragging them up and down the ice.

Myers had a strong rookie year but never really lived up to his contract extension.

I can't remember if Bogo came with his current contract or if they gave it to him.

Pominville is way overpaid but done next year.

Ville Leino had to be one of the worst contracts in league history.

I'd argue injuries were behind okposos fall. Not being separated from jt.

i think skinner is good. Top line player, hasnt had the best linemates. If he gets time with Eichel he could put up some good numbers.

Good deal for the sayburs

Meh. I can't say I recall the details of this but I think he had a concussion the first year with Buffalo and something weird like a medication error/severe allergic reaction. He only missed 6 games last year and managed a meagre 44 points.

He's only produced two 60 point seasons in his career, both riding shotgun with JT. At 30 years old with a cap hit of 6M for another 5 years, that's a pretty terrible contract.

He'll likely line up next to Eichel or Middlestadt next season so maybe he'll have a chance to approach 60 points again but I doubt it will be him driving the offence on his line.

somewhere along the way I believe I heard someone say "you can't fix stupid" ...

I did hear something hilarious regarding "classic rock and classic rock bands"...

I'm out for dinner with my two college aged sons... conversation at the next table (occupied by 5 college aged girls all text each other or someone else ) went something like "how are you supposed to dance to that" and "his voice is awful"...

yup... Pink Floyd. I guess they just don't cut it compared with the modern day "musicians"

- BorjeFan4Ever

The vapid dance pop poop the kids listen to these days... and yeah, I'm sure every other old man said the same thing since the history of time, but still: I know I'm right.

My prediction is that we lose 5-1 and everybody turns on Tavares

If only we had listened to the Islanders fans, who on July 2nd told us that they didn't really want Tavares anyways - the guy is over-rated, doesn't back-check, and will never be the player that Barzal is.

Damn.

Makes sense... I hear that guy isn't even good for sledge hockey. Total bust.

Mark Stone signs a one year deal. Duchene Stone Karlsson can all walk next off season.. and no first round pick. What a (frank) show over there

It's all coming together.

Bidding war between Skinner and Stone's agents - who will be willing to play in Toronto for less.

I'm assuming Karlsson will be willing to give up some of his salary to compensate Stone.

Mark Stone signs a $7.35M, one-year deal with #sens, avoiding arbitration. Ottawa's best three players are all entering UFA season: Karlsson, Duchene and Stone.

So yeah Ottawa can try trading him, but he's obviously gonna walk so good luck to them getting a decent return

it’s pretty clear he must not want to sign long term, Stone should have been an easy contract for the Sens, give him 7-8 a year for 8 years and be done with it. Can’t blame him if he doesn’t want to stick around, great player
